i wouldn't be surprised, its the best party type out there. plus on hardest difficulty, AI = 200% economy, so federalist would give them +40% over you. much better then measly morale or research bonuses

this was REALLY annoying My fix = click on the nearest planet, then click on the fleet(s) you want to move. i don't believe a bug, just an annoying default: since the game lets you select multiple ships/fleets to move at once, if one group is highlighted, and you click on a second group, the first group is still selected by default it would be helpful if the default was to only select multiple groups by holding a shift key
i've never had that problem because i always have more tech. tip1) stick with small ships b/c they are cheap, and vary them. try 1 class all beams, another all mass drivers. u should have logistics at 12-16 by then, so u can do 3 or 4 of each ship type per fleet. with the # of shots fired, those big def ships will be gone in no time. unless the enemy can make ships with 20 shields AND 20 armor, in which case restart, sorry. otherwi
in beta, the bonus "research/social/military is confusing for me. maybe keep it the way it was before, or show bonuses for individual areas? also quickfix, if there was some space that showed how much each research costs kudos on the excess research bleeding on to the next tech though
def agree w/ feud, also in campaigns when i used military starbases, small ship swarm with "stellar wave +1 movement" upgrade was AWESOME for decimating dread lord ships. marathononas, since computer almost always has a larger "military str" , high diplomacy keeps relations on the positive side and from having everyone declare war on you. also better for the trading stuff before you take them over. and for negging peace when you take their
don't know if these are 'quick', but if i should post elsewhere feel free to move it 1) BUY queue for building, if i have 1m credits, and i'd like to prebuy all the buildings on a planet without having to click buy after every turn (good balance choice for 1 build/turn though). could be realized as: a buy option per tile, or having normal BUILD queue, but being able to pay for shields via 'stored production' slider. REASON: I have
you guys have GREAT response time, holy SH*T. can you guys make the next windows? smartexception didn't seem to log anything., but here's the debug text... stardock shows 1.0X.010, i've since updated to the new beta, but haven't tried large transport, mainly because u lose troops/ship to conquer a planet. if i keep mainimum troops/ship, i have more ships remaining after an invasion. also because engines/hulls are cheap, and advanced troop mod is expensive also, i like to do the retake a planet multiple times & trade it back for goodies cheese
research diplomacy techs like crazy b/c they make all the following trading MUCH easier. also, my numbers are for a galaxy size, abundance, difficulty maxed-out game i am currently winning. just trying out stuff. Tips: 1) Early = expansion & Economy. funds everything. try federalist and max race points on economy/morale. remember to overlap/stack economic starbases so you can build flagships at 1/turn, aka 'instant military' milita
i've noticed the scoring to be a product of how LARGE your values are & how LONG you've had those values. an 'area under curve' type effect. it's extremely challenging to fairly "score" a game of this type. as an alternative i suggest goals scoring. like highest aggregate military str, fastest ship, highest economy, quickest game, etc.
I have catalyst 6.3 drivers on a radeon 9600, directx & microsoft.net all updated game usually runs fine, but many times after it crashes, game will become unplayable, crashing and yielding an error in either galciv2.exe or d3d9.dll. when game crashes, its usually when ending turn solutions tried in annoyance order until game works again: restart computer, uninstall/reinstall game, uninstall/reinstall video drivers, combination.<
4 things: 1) On main screen, when population becomes greater than 999B, it becomes 0.001XXXX T, rather than 1.XXXX T 2) When that happens, generation influence/turn skyrockets. have 100+ colonies, each 100+IP, but empire IP will rise by >400,000 per turn 3) when colonies autobuild to rally points, troop carriers leave with 1000soldiers max, regardless of #modules/ship 4) When creating fleets, movement points
