Guys, can market prices be influenced by production alone, or does some one actually have to sell or buy the resource, for the price to change?

So we played access and we know what state the game is in currently. But what's missing? Which game features are planned that are not in the game yet? How what we have now is different to the finished product? If this was already asked and answered please feel free to point me to the appropriate place.
