I've been thinking. What if imbue stuck around, only at a higher cost but it lets you get a new line of spells each time you use it for a champion. Say you get a champ with air and water, but want fire and/or earth. Let each imbue cast give you the option of learning a new line of spells. If this were used, I'd like to see it as a pretty high cost in mana to help balance, and possibly not even let you pick your line, but just randomly get rewarded with one you don't currently have

It's called "Sid Meier's" after all. But Firaxis doesn't own the rights for AC. 3. EA owns rights for AC (source). EA loves to buy kill trademarks. So there will be no Alpha Centauri 2. Ever. I'm so glad you posted this. I have meant to start a thread like this about 15 times while in game, and keep forgetting. My tactic has been figure out from city list what I want to get rid of and then get the demolish tool open and just start right-clicking on them all to see their names. Click cancel on the ones to keep. I tried figuring them out by looks but it was even more time consuming than just brute forcing through them. Was able to skip super-obvious ones like mana shrine

Agree with many of the other points. I'd like to add... take a look at this thread, the poster has a couple nice videos to watch with some decent narrative as he plays. https://forums.elementalgame.com/417343 If you can find a cheap copy of Civ2, I'd think that'd be a nice way to get into games like this. Hell, I'd probably still fire that up on occasion if I had it installed.

I think the range distance can use some tweaking as well with ranged attacks. Maybe have more powerful bows also have a bit more range. Having the initials bows not being able to fire the whole battlefield would probably help balance things a bit. Couple different types of ranged items would definitely be welcome as well. Line of sight would be nice, but that may be getting a little too complex, but would surely be cool with some random trees/large rocks or whatever on the battlefield for cov

Just to be clear, you do realize that ONLY the center square of your city should be the numbers you are worried about. All the squares show the total for themselves and the 8 around them. So far the group consensus seems to be aim for a 5,2 square (5 grain, 2 production). Now, if you realize this and are just saying you are getting some very bad choices for buildable land, then yeah. Have had a couple games like that (nothing better than a 3,2 available after searching for 10-20 turns

as seanw3 said, I'd love to see the trait tree in the help window thing (that is one ugly word.) But I do like the way it is now, where some traits are uncommon and rare, don't really want to be able to follow the tree to exactly what I want every game. Doing that, you may as well just throw out the system and have straight classes with automatic upgrades, IMO.
