Jack Up Enhancement Potential to 100 and terraform tech of each for 30, then you will see class 12 or above planets become 71 tile nightmares. A good nightmare nevertheless. I've been playing with that for more than 2 weeks now. All that left is to find the planetary special bonus tiles. But it embedded in the .exe and associated .dlls. <img src="http://ima

I read somewhere on www.r-force.org that Starforce tried to pressure Stardock to use Starforce technologies on Galactic Civilization II, Don't know if it true or not, but it rather fishy. Good on Stardock on making their point clear. Link to the story Link
Did you use a shortcut? And no quatation marks between the GalCiv2.exe and cheat.. it should be GalCiv2.exe cheat that is. just a space between the .exe and cheat
Your Video Card Bios is @ Fault. Go to www.mvktech.net and look up the relevant bios and flash it. Use Nbitor, wait the forum people to help you etc. If you don't know how, look at the tutorials. I know what happened to your 6600GT, as I had exact problem with it when there's a background animation in the menus, it freezes up. I hate to tell you that Stardock won't be able to fix your BIOS problems, but an update to lossen the TIMINGSET05 in your 6600GT video card BIOS might. A warning though, u
"Tough luck" is not a valid response It is a good response, simply nobody knows how to hex edit the save game. If you know how to hex edit it, i guess you can continue to play. Nobody has answered that, why i
You probably need to ask FrogBoy about making an space carrier.. It's .exe limited, if there's no change to the .exe, then none of your ideas will actually work well..
I have this same problem... I cannot Find new drivers for the ATI mobillity card. I have a toshiba laptop, Boutght it last year and I have the Mobillity Radeon 9000. Toshiba has no updates, and ATI offers no updates.. I blue screen out upon starting the game. If anyone know a place to find these drivers that would be great. But I do not think they are out. </TABLE
Try playing the game @ Gigantic Setting and try manage 40+ planets at once, you won't complain why there's less habitable planets now. Also, look @ PlanetDescription.xml, go to see the planetclass range, it starts with 0 to 7, 6, or whatever it is, if you want more habitable planets, why not edit them? Chances are you proably will get a few hundred to play around with and suffer massive lag after 2 or 3 years of ingame time... HEHEE
Large Planets are hard to manage, believe me. Ever managed some class 72 palnets with full use of 71 tiles?
Actualy does any one know where to setting for them are at Embedded in the .exe
changing miniaturization in RaceConfig.xml does nothing which is odd to me Of course it doesn't, go to customrace.config inside one of your My Document file, ( should be MyGames/GalCiv2?) and open it up with notepad, Now, edit to your heart desire. Only applies to the race you played lastly though.
Yeah, determining the precusor mines can be done, but it illegal under EULA, I think it invovles modifying the .exe, so only Frogboy knows how .
Dosent quite work that way. Some planets have multiple upgradeable tiles. Some have none. And it all in PlanetDescriptions.
They should, but it will mean that they will be stuck @ building those terraforming social projects. So i editted the terrafrom project to 1 and tonight, I will make orbital terraformer to super project so everyone can build one. This should make things itneresting.
well, Under PlanetDescription.xml in the English Folder, open it up and see what inside. In there, there's a few lines with 'EnhancementPotential', now, we don't won't a measly 10, 20, or 0 for that number, jack it up to 100 or anything higher than that. Now, ecah time you research a terraform tecyh, be it soil enrichment, habitat etc.. you will unlock a fairly large number of yellow, red, orange tiles. Now go to terraform them! Of course, the display number class number of the planets will not
Well, After some research here, THE PQ ability is bugged @ the ability selection only. I found ways to have full use of 71 tiles on class 12 planets after a few tweaking. HEHEHE...
Well, someone on IRC is experimenting it with Mass Drivers. Turns out some editting makes those Poor Planets become very useful. I would like to know the details though.
Maybe one GALACTIC Week= A few months on Earth?
second the above request. It would be extremely nice if there was a detailed document explaining all game mechanics, that is continously updated from patch to patch in the Galactic Databank portion of the GalCivII site. Paritcularly explain how the PQ bonuses. I would like to see a lift of the bonuses ( which could be around 20-30
After some light research, the max PQ bonuses that unlocks tiles is roughly 20% or 30%?. So if you edit the tech tree's terraforming, soil enrichment, habitat etc. it will unlock appropriate tiles. Any more than 30% on planetqualitybonuses seemed to have no effect besides changing the class numbers. So PlanetQualityBonuses that unlocks usable tiles is roughly 20% or 30% ( don't know which one).
How do I increase the occurnace of those fabulous +100% manufacture tiles appearing on my planets? Did anybody found how do mod it in?
No it's not capped. infact, you can have a class 1000 planet. A question, How to unlock those tiles that matches the PQ number? i.e if i landed on a planet with PQ of 7 and increased it to PQ10 because of my race trait, there's only 7 buildable tiles instead of the supposed PQ10, Where are those 3 missing tiles?
