Just the basics:
My task bar sometimes ends up in a height that looks like 1.5x the default single row height. I am using a rather old Window Blind skin (Acrylic by danillo0c). I normally keep my taskbar locked in a single row state. If I unlock the taskbar, it instantly corrects itself. Seems kind of odd to me. I have used other newer skins with the same issue. Here is an image of the issue before and after... <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/jeffgbaker/Misc02/photo#52271
The background picture changes daily, but this is it. Simple, clean, personal.
If you don't find anything with AV or Spybot, try checking System Configuration for startup programs (Win+R, msconfig ).
OK, I fixed it. I uninstalled WB 6.0 after setting the theme back to Aero. Changed theme to Aero which enabled transparency. Installed WB 5, had transparency. Uninstalled WB 5, installed WB 6 and everything works so far.
Tried that first. Preview shows the transparency. When applied, nothing changes.
My WB skins used to make the title bars and window broders transparent. WB 6 does not do this. Is this an issue with the software? Please help I want the see through borders back I have already ensurd that I have the latest drivers for my video. Here is my system info: Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 3.1 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 3.3
Where do I get help? According to the user manual there shoujld be controls and widgets and things on the desktop. ALL I get are the sounds andthe changing wallpaper. Did I waste my money????
I uninstalled then re-installed and am working fine now. Strange how this happened. I would not necessarily think it was an update. I did not update DesktopX until after this happened. Strange. All is well now.
I get the same error and clearing the cache does not make a difference. Not sure what happened but everything was fine yesterday when I shut down the machine.
