It looks like your messing around with some files. I think you might have to reinstall the game I haven't touched any of the files in the game... although I will give it a try if Stardock can't come up with anything better...
I am unable to view any of the autopilot lines, constructor area of effect, and even any of the trade route lines. And yes, they are activated in the options menu. Nothing too serious, just something I was looking forward to just didn't work the way I hoped it would. Also, is there any chance where there may be a feature for getting through proxies? Everything else appeared great. Nice work Stardock, you all need to go on a vacation... somewhere warm and not in Michigan... because Michigan

Low quality planets suck. No matter what you do on them, it isn't going to be amazing. You can make them a research planet, and they will barely increase your total research. You can make them a factory planet and build starships at an extremely slow rate. You can make them an economic planet and slightly increase your income.</
Hahaha, no that was from Spring Break... I actually never finished the game and the medal was given to me as soon as I logged on. However, here at school, the game does not even recognize that there is an internet connection which is obviously not true as I am here writing this post. I have no idea how to bypass a proxy in the game. Does anyone for that matter?
If I understand correctly, the Tough difficulty is supposed to be when all algortihims are in place, correct? For the past few games I have been playing through with 9 races on Intelligent and everytime it seems that it's too easy. Of course the answer to this is to increase the difficulty, but I wondered what a game on this difficulty would be like if I did not build any military ships. So I did. The result? A cultural victory to me

Very nice... I have just won my first Tough game too with a score of 22,378. It would be nice if someone could figure out and tell me how I can get my Metaverse to somehow work through the proxies that are at my university. Whenever I attempt a connnection, the game tells me there is no connection detected and I know that's not true as I am right here writing this post... man, I would love to start submitting my scores.

I am currently at a university that uses proxies to get through to the internet and network. I tried to use Metaverse but everytime I try, it tells me that there is no connection available. Now, I know that there is one becasue I can surf the web whenever and I'm pretty sure that I cannot go in Metaverse due to the proxy. Is there an option somewhere that allows a proxy configuration or an option to automatically detect the proxy settings? C
This more than likely has to do with my graphics card, but I thought I would go ahead and ask on here. Whenever I would create a trade route, the colored lines showing that one actually exists does not show up. I've gone under the menu and made sure that the option was checked, but still nothing ever shows up. My drivers are all updated and I honestly do not have a clue on what to do. The file size would not make any sense. The total size is on anly about 120kb... there are files more than twice the size of that. Any other thoughts? Cheers.

Build some defenses. The AI won't declare as often if you have a decent military.
You can play against the Dreadlords in the "Dreadlords on Parade" scenario.
GalCiv2 is a STRATEGY game... implementing more options for tactical battles would bring much more strategy to the game. Of course, if someone does not want to mess with strategizing combat, there could be an option not to do so. I know I would start winning more battles if I personally commanded my ships and told them what to do. It would add so much more depth and strategy to an already amazing game. Definitely worth a thought or two.<b
