Awesome thanks. If you want to me try at a certain time or use a certain link to provide some debug info I'm more than willing.

I do run a hardware firewall that I do not have a good way to turnoff. I also run Windows Firewall that I could turn off. I dislike doing either just to upload a file. I would rather open up whatever ports are required if they are something other than 80. I think if they were using non-standard ports to transfer the file they would mention firewall port requirements. You were having problems too when you used Firefox weren't you?
Go Here . The links do not work directly for me, but if you goto this page , you can right-click on any of the WMV demos and "Save As" to download them to your computer. Since they are WMV's, you can then rclick them and set them as your background. Too bad they are low resolution but I suppose if you really like one, you could see ho
I found a free one called Wax 2.0 by DebugMode which allows for all sorts of effects. I made a dream that loops nicely by: 1. Use VirtualDub (free) to export a snapshot of the first frame of video. 2. Use Wax 2.0 to "dissolve" the last second of video into the snapshot. Basically during the last second, the video would become transparent with the snapshot sitting behind it. Resulting video loops nicely and it appears that the end of the video fades into the beginning.<br/
Help! Everytime I try to upload a dream I am met with failure. I've tried on the following 2 systems: Vista/ie7 XP-Pro/ie6 I've tried the main upload link and what happens is after I enter my info and hit Submit, ie thinks for about 30-45 seconds then I get taken to an ie error page saying the server did not respond. I've also tried the test link from this thread . you
How are you getting them uploaded? I use IE. I've tried both 6 and 7. I've tried the main upload link and also the one in this thread . I've yet to be able to upload a dream successfully. It is extremely frustrating.
It worked for me. Well...it says GalCiv2 instead of DA and the release date is way wrong but hey it gets me to the game.
Nuts I give up. I have tried both upload links on a XPPro/ie6 system several times and always the uploads fail. If I use the old upload page, I get a "server not responding" error. If I use the new upload page, after a long while and most of the progress is done I get a new page which says the upload failed. For the Error it says "UploadDetails". It then has a note about giving credit for submissions etc. I've wasted too much time making this dream and even more trying to u
actually I think I figured out how to add the race names but I have no idea how to turn off the espionage or even if it is necessary to turn it off. My only other concern is when I look at some of the DA campaign files, they are using "Korath" for race 13. But if I look at RaceConfig.xml, it says "Korath" is race 10, while "Akilians" are race-13. Which do I use for the DL campaign?
Okay thanks for the tip. I am using TMPGEnc Free version. I'll see if I can find something that can encode in HD. I also am unable to upload. I tried the current upload link with no luck and the new upload link with no luck. I'll try from my wife's XP/IE6 machine tonight.
How did you encode it in mpg that high resolution? Whenever I try I cannot go above 720x480 or something like that.
Can you email me the converted files? Including the espionage stuff? Thanks Edit: My email is: wickedsoul_ @ yahoo . com
Ah me too. I wanted to play through the first campaign using the improvements in DA. Ah well.
Well, I have a nice 1024x768 high quality AVI that is 25MB encoded with xvid. I have been unable to recode it as mpeg-2 with a resolution bigger than 720x480. That seems to be the maximum for regular mpeg-2. And even when I recode it to 40MB it still is crappy compared to my original avi. Mostly because the resolution is much less. And I've not had good results with WMV format either. Can you suggest a way to encode it in wmv or mpeg-2 (preferably) and still preserve the 10
OK I tried again. This time I did not get the flip flopping. The progress meter seemed to work ok. I left and when I came back though, the meter was gone and I was still on the upload page with all my information typed in. I cannot find my dream uploaded so wtf? I guess it just is not working for me.
I am using it now and getting odd results: IE7 on Vista Ultimate. Uploading a 37MB dream. After I hit Upload the Progress Meter came up. However it will show my progress for approximately 1.5 seconds, then it will switch and show 0 progress. Then another 1.5s later it will switch and show my progress again. And so it goes as I am 90% done now. For example, it will say: 0 KB of 0KB (0%) complete null time elapsed. null time remaining. then it sw
Ah I will try that thanks.
I have a 37MB dream I keep trying to upload. Everytime I enter all the info and hit Upload the browser thinks for a few seconds then says it cannot display the page. I think it is timing out or something. I am using IE 7. If anyone knows how to upload please let me know.
Ah the help desk just told me I was all set now.
I am having the same problem. I sent an *single* email to [email protected] on Friday and have received no less than 4 emails for new trouble tickets: IYI-156567 YPF-889435 CCQ-129775 XGL-184626 Of course I have not received a response but it has not yet been 2 business days. It seems it would have been faster for me to post here. <img src="http://images.stardock.co
I am getting the "Error 3: Serial Number Is Not Registered To This Account" problem. I believe I pre-ordered from totalgaming.net with a different email address than I used to create my Stardock Central account and I believe that is causing the problem. Is there a way to get my serial number moved over to my stardock central account so I can download the CE content? I should note that inside Stardock Central, I was able to tell it the email addy I bought the game with and
Here is the exact error: "Error 3: Serial Number Is Not Registered To This Account" I suspect it is because when I pre-ordered from totalgaming, I used an email address I use for all my shopping, but when I signed up with stardock central I used a different email address just for Stardock stuff. Now the website registration screen at https://www.galciv2.com/registration.aspx is getting confused when I enter my serial number. Can someone help me out! I need
the new serial worked. go figure.
Well I finally got it to work. I told SDCentral to send my serial # to me and lo and behold the serial # was different than the one I got originally and used to register! I am in now.
Okay, So I pre-ordered from TotalGaming and got my email with my serial # which I used to download the preload stuff. I am having problems activating, so I decided to hit the button inside the TotalGaming Options screen to lookup my serial #. I entered my email and it sent me my serial number. Now get this! The serial # it sent was different than the serial number I used to register the game! WTH? I will try the n
