Need install help (total noob) in New Users WinCustomize Forums

I have absolutely no idea how to install anything I've downloaded from this site. Someone please break it down for me real easy-like. I've downloaded 5 .zip files and extracted them, but none contain any "install" or "setup" files. So I also downloaded Desktop X 3.1 and tried to open the files through the program, but it seems the program isn't meant to open or even recognize such .script, .stat, or .pref files contained in the .zips.
