Hey Karma, to clarify, I DID NOT ask for a refund at all, NEVER, NO, I did not do it. Edited: Excuse me I did state in one suppoort ticket that if we could not resolve it that I would be left with no choice by to apply for a refund. (fear of this dragging out too long, and then being told, 'oh you've had these themes for 4 or 5 weeks', no refund, fueled that remark) Someone here reading the thread took it upon themselves to put in for the refund, NOT ME. I just got the email stat

Vchickzod, is my username once I figured out how to change it here, this is not the most user friendly forum software I've ever seen, and Denise is my real name as I kept wondering how and why my real name was showing up in the forum!!! I did not think I singled out any one person to offend. My posts come from sheer frustration over this program, nothing personal. Hopefully a resolve can be found for others. I received a refund email, but what I really wanted was a nor

I will continue support for 1 more week but I am not foolish enough to wait longer and be told, 'oh well, you bought these weeks ago' and now want a refund. So I will do my part with stardock support for 1 more week, and that's it. Then I seek 100% of what I paid out. These themes should not be so complicated and overly done that they need to be tested on so many PC configurations/variations in order to work. The paying customer is the ultimate goal. I have NEVER had an issue i

frogboy is incorrect about encrypted images (I call it pixalated beyond being see-able) and how I know is out of sheer desperation a few days I sent my daughter my info to download one of my themes and she was able to download it, lucky her, oh and she has the same PC I have..., she called me on the phone and as we talked as she sent me an email with 2 images of the same image. One was clear (she said she fixed the image encryption issue) and the other one was pixalated (garbled) She sa

First I'm not a buddy, implying I'm male, I'm not. Second, ast. is right about the images (pixalated) which is easily bypassed/fixed then imported via free theme manager (I can't open mycolors at all by the way) and hankers is right, I shouldn't be expressing my anger here, I am just so frustrated. I should be calling sd, which I will do.

also there is NOTHING in the actual theme itself that's encrypted (though they would like to give the impression there is, as mycolors asks for a serial number,..... NO encryption) This is how they want to deliver the theme to us, thus asking for the SN. All they have to do is give us a download link for the zipped theme and it can easily be unzipped and imported via FREE thememanager. FREE thememanager works FREE thememanager works FREE thememanager works FREE thememana

OK here is the latest - sorry people. Today I received an answer asking me to uninstall the current mycolors themmanager and install the new one which is a smaller file size, 91MB. GUESS what? Just as bad, it will NOT import any themes and hangs. I had to uninstall it and send SD a reply as follows: ----- The issue has NOT been corrected. I did a fresh install of mycolors thememanager and it hangs and will NOT import ANY of my themes and screws up my PC. Unistalling it is a virt

Does SD corporate take the time to monitor this site, or do all they care about is raking in sales? I just got a support ticket reply resending me the same stupid mycolors ThemeManager to import the themes with as before. It doesn't work. My reply: NO, you are resending me MyColors thememanager to import them with. IT DOESN'T work, for me, do you understand? I need each theme already unpacked in a zip or rar folder (or in one big zip file with s

Some of you may know a few months back I purchased 2 MyColors themes (corvette & another one which escapes me right now) The MyColors thememanger is garbage (it was then) and new one is even worse, and doesn't work right, it doesn't download, hangs and goes no where. I had found a resolve to that. Use the FREE ThemeManager. It works perfectly. Fast forward to yesterday. So MyColors was revamped and I figured possibly improved, I found out I was wrong. Yeste

Thank you very much, I think they're great looking though when I decided to get a dog and researched, I though they were ugly giant looking dingo dogs with enormous ears. Glad to be apart of the community. There are some unbelievably, very talented people here. I could never be creative like that. Either you have it or you don't, and I don't!

Well the dog theme was one idea, the other idea which is the one I'd pay for first, is a self motivational type theme, which no key words could be found and I used many keywords. I wish I had some talent in this area. Some of the themes I see are just amazing, such talented people. This is a mechelaar I do thank you for your help, it's very much appreciated.

I think I found the answer. With no help or reply from tech support, I uninstalled mycolors and did not reinstall it. Then I deleted anything to do with it. I cleared my cache, then installed WB 6.01 enhanced, and Theme Manager only. Then installed the corvette skin via theme manager, but did not install mycolors. Well mycolors shows up so it must be in the actual theme. Now the Corvette theme is working fine, and showing properly. What a convoluted way, huh? My beef w

Okay, this was just going to be a personal theme, non-commercial value. For example, I have 2 Mechelaar's (dogs) so I was thinking of a mahogany/fawn & black colors theme with doggie type icons. I am not creative or have any graphic skills.

I am not sure this is in the correct forum so mod please move as applicable. I have searched but found no skins matching my keywords, many key words I tried. I am looking for a theme creator to make be a theme that can be used with theme manger, I assume it's a windowsblind theme? Copyright to me, not for reproduction or sale. To include theme, icons, login and out screens and a few generic gadgets to match (weather, clock, media player, and maybe a favorite links gadget).

13 Replies 2,776 Views

Oh thank you for the stardock weather link. Hopefully the links issue will be address also. I know I can close it, but it really bothers me that I know it's there in closed state, and I cannot put my own links there, and take out the spam links.

I am not technical at all. I had no problems activating the corvette theme, during the first install. My main problem was the _-restore-minimize-close buttons/balls) on the upper right corner of a webpage using the latest IE, Opera & FF, have disappeared forever, so has the upper left icon, they were only present for a few minutes, then poof, gone. I tried uninstall/reinstall/delete/took out WB, took out MyColors/rebooted, over and over for hours on end. I looked for any driver

The themes are high quality & aesthetically they are very appealing but from what I see I cannot change anything about the theme, specifically the weather gadget, links, and sponsors. Conveniently that is left out of the hype and sales info or made difficult to find (I haven't found any info on this yet). Unless I'm mistaken, what is needed to change or tweak the mycolors themes? Specifically use my own weather link, and links & REMOVE the sponsor link. Why should people pay $20 per theme and ha
