I may be getting Red Alert 3 soon. I've been waiting on it for a while; I loved the RA2 campaigns. A few years ago, I picked up the Red Strike pack that includes the original RA2 and Yuri's Revenge a few years back and enjoyed the cutscenes immensely as well as having a lot of fun with the off-the-wall units. I'm playing Spore, Mass Effect, Titan Quest, Oblivion and Half-Life 2 right now, so those are keeping me pretty busy with my relatively-small time budget for gaming (most days abo

The skinny on Win 7 in Windows Software WinCustomize Forums

CNN has an article about Windows 7 up, which MS promises will be in early beta in 2009 and for sale in 2010. This feels like the 98-Me cycle all over again: release a version of Windows that has more bugs than a rotting corpse and almost immediately thereafter release another that fixes a lot of those bugs but does little else. If this is actually released in 2010, I can't imagine anyone having an incentive to upgrade an existing computer system to Vista now.

I have opinions on lots of the topics brought up in this post, but I'll restrict my comments to this: The above discussion only serves to call into question the rationale of the OP's original point: conservative voices are drowned out by a sea of moderates and liberals in the vast datastream that is the internet. What I've seen here over the last 7 pages of posts is a mix of viewpoints, at least as many conservative as liberal.

I read Frogboy's report that is referenced in this thread and also in the OP's link. I have to say I'm somewhat dismayed by what happened with # 5. The word "minimum" was changed to "recommended." For those of us who don't upgrade our computers regularly (can't afford to), it would be nice if we could use games at the minimum recommendations. There is often a world of difference between minimum and recommended specs. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]

I actually don't see how this is different from any other kind of in-game advertising. I find marketing through commercials on television and in-game billboards or posters to be quite obnoxious, irrespective of the product. I guess I'd put a lot of people out of work, but if it were up to me, I'd probably ban all broadcast advertising except for non-profits.
