I don't know anything about CursorXP but couldn't you just use an animated cursor?

Just get the processor, your current graphics card would blow away any game you threw at it, plus it's on the AGP so that also makes it more effective. I don't think there's a need to upgrade that card. (Although I am a big ATI fan )
I would go for Avast.
Yeah bichur's right. I trust wincustomize so I would set it there
mormegil writes kickass graphics tutorials!
In winxp control panel you can make sound schemes and save them. I wonder if xp stores the arrangements of sounds as files you could distribute, and if so, where.
Right well you've got two questions there. The first I don't know the answer to but google it first before coming here I reckon (you get an answer immediately that way). For the second, I believe there is a thread called "Problems installing your skins/themes etc? Answers to problems" or something like that and it's pinned so you'll find it in the forum index. Hope this helps. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIG
The page builder that netfirms provide will probably not be sufficient because the ones hosters provide are usually "wizards" which let you customize pretty much only the text and pictures on the site - the rest they choose for you. Just a thought. I personally don't like frontpage, but I wouldn't be building a site for your needs. I use Yahoo! Sitebuilder - But something to keep in mind is that you can't use their templates unless you use yahoo's w
Hi Mormegil I have to say your icons are absolutely fantastic. It inspired me to get CorelDraw again. (I had it before I formatted but couldn't use it no matter how hard I tried!) Now I'm better at it and I made 2 icons for Rise Of Nations just this afternoon (I ended up using a globe in it OMFG ) Anyways, is there a chance you could make some of the icons availa
I can't skin very well either and I've never made a WB Skin. I can't afford Photoshop or CorelDraw and they take too long to download off P2P
I can't purchase anything right now Ah well
bump. i thought this thread would attract mods and such who could actually answer my question
Yes it is. Mine has mormegil's key icon and windows asks me to identify myself. If I get it wrong it keeps asking. There are 2 buttons, OK, And Restart. There's absolutely no way around this as far as I know except formatting which would lose the files you were trying to get into. So it's a VERY secure method of protection. I've done it with the windows command "syskey" and the internal NT logon application, and I've been using ResHacker, whi
the security prompt appears before logon asking for information. It could be a password, a number, a name, anything. You can place a bitmap in the dialog box custom wording etc etc. There's also a really quick windows standard option which places a mathematical code on a floppy disk and requires that to be present at startup.
why do I want neowin.net to post a tutorial on wincustomize?
Cheers for responding m8. Now I've moved off mac skins and i'm just assembling an assortment of stuff now. Since theres only that hard way to do it and i'm off mac skinning, I'll leave it. Take Care, Outlaw999
Try changing the type of folder in folder properties to documents, then restart the back to pictures again. Just something easy to try...
Hi guys! I'm fairly new to Wincustomize forums but that does not make me an idiot nor someone who makes mistakes. That would come from my mother Anyway, I've been hacking windows to some extent and making a custom security prompt that appears at startup. I have done this perfectly and without any errors, and I think this excercise would be good practice and
I'm sure our methods were fine aswell, but the point is that he fixed his problem. Well done bioflare! But ya know, sometimes System Restore isn't a good idea, like if you had a virus that you got rid of then you system restored (I've done that, but what made it worse for me was the fact Norton had just expired!!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smil
Try setting the taskbar to autohide, restart, then unsetting autohide. This will make windows reload the position and size of the taskbar. Try that and get back to me! Cheers, Outlaw999
There's also a great program called TweakUI, made by Microsoft. You can get it at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Aswell as hiding the recycle bin, there are many other things to customize. Have fun, Outlaw999
You should upgrade to version 4
Yeah why not! There are some real great authors on here such as the likes of PixelPirate and Mormegil that could knock up a belting skin for a new windows. But I think a better visual improvement would be MORE visual styles shipping with windows. In XP there's 2, Luna and Classic. Microsoft, the biggest software company out there should know that people do actually have computers *in their homes* where we have custom computers, decor on the walls e
U know super wizop hippy, On windows 95 it would play the Fur Elise by Beethoven if the fan broke. That's why a midi version of that song shipped with Win95.
Wow all of you must have taken a long time to write all that out for me thanx. It's nice to know that there are in fact just a few nice people out there in the world today. It's gr8 to be part of a community like this - I've never been on forums like this before. Although none of your methods work to fix windowblinds or windows messing it up or whatever, I've found exactly what I wanted in the form of the Longhorn Transformation Pack. I r
