Fonts gone CRAZY!!! in Skinning WinCustomize Forums

Not sure if it is a WB/SKS problem or just my system, but something happened that made some of the fonts all wacked. As you can see from the screeny, some are huge and bold. Most of the other fonts are changed also...looks like Segoe instead of Tahoma, or vice versa. Like I said, I have no idea what happened or what I did, I just got up, started working and HOLY SHIIII...... Maybe someone has came across this problem before. Thanks people. I'm making good use of the new layer feature in SKS. Just about everything in this skin has a layer! Also doing a 'clean' substyle without any textures. All I have to do is simply turn off the layers I added...easy! I love layers!

Hey, I just got AVG to work! I phoned tech support the other day, and it was he who suggested that AVG might be blocking WB. I uninstalled AVG, but was stuck with no anti-virus unless I found an alternative. So, I emailed the guy back and asked what I should do. He suggested allowing WB as an exception in AVG. Took some messing around, but I got it to work finally. This is what I did: I opened AVG, went to "resident shield", clicked on "manage exceptions", added the path [I]C:\Prog

I've had the same problem for a while now. It was a problem with AVG for me. I just completely uninstalled AVG and WB worked. Reboot...no problems. Reinstalled AVG, reboot...same problem again. Uninstalled AVG... I've never had a problem with AVG before with ANY program. I know WB isn't a 'normal' program, but still... just seems strange, especially when so many people use AVG.

Pumpkin, I totally agree with you. I got the same exact response from support - took over a week too. So, I just phoned tech support, and the guy a called was very helpful. The email support was the exact opposite. I recommend you try calling tech support. It's harder to dismiss someone when you're talking directly with them. I don't have a very high opinion of stardock's support system right now. Waiting a week or two to reply to a problem is just complacent and lazy, especially when the r

SKS layer mask question in Skinning WinCustomize Forums

I've been playing around with the new layers feature and it's driving me crazy. I can't seem to get masks to work. I'm trying to ad a layer on the caption window border, and every time I import a mask image it say 'The parameter is incorrect' I've tried using .png .bmp and .tga with alpha channel also. I've tried making it the same size as the layer and the top frame image. Ive also tried using grayscale. Nothing has worked. So, anyone figure this layers feature out yet? Help is much appri

Hey, since I wasn't getting a response from support, I just phoned them. The guy at tech support said to try disabling AVG, and guess what... it worked! If not that, then something else must be blocking WB. If you have any anti-virus program, try uninstalling it and see if that helps.

pumkin, have you tried installing WB from stardock central? It may be an Impulse issue. I tried doing that and it said my accounts needed to be 'merged'. I just emailed support back and asked them to do that. Haven't heard back yet, but maybe that will work for you.
