Let me first apologize if I have posted this in the wrong section. Now..this is more for the moderators. I noticed on the DesktopGadgets site, that the 'gadgets' that are for sale do not show a current 'number of downloads' like the free ones do. Is it set up this way (for privacy), or is it because there have been no purchases as of yet? The reason I ask is, I have been thinking I might like to post one (providing it was good e

I forgot my password. When I try to retrieve it, I am told that my user name and email cannot be found in the dtat base. Then, when I tried to 're-sign-up' it tells me my email is already in the data base and I have to use the 'forgot password' link. <img src="htt

I have never liked all the 'crap' that yahoo would stick in my registry, and the trouble it was to remove it. And MSN's insistance on sticking itself in my start-ups every chance it got. I'm new to a lot of this, but was very happy when I found out about GAIM. I liked that it's tabbed (no more multiple windows) and can access AIM, AOL, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ etc. And I don't have all the 'crap' to worry about.
Me: No offense, but I called you, you tech support people, because I had tried everything I knew to do at home to fix this problem. I called you because you're supposed to be more knowledgeable than I. So far, you're not telling me anything I didn't already know. In fact, I'd have got more help from my child. Are you reading

My homepage has always been with whatever internet provider I am with or 'MSN'. Kinda bored with both. Looking for something fresh that has a little of everything. What's everyone else use for a homepage?
I DID NOT think it was ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spend about 5-6 hours positioning the objects in the best position, finding icons, widjets, windowblinds, etc I had to calculate the dimensions of the wallpaper to give a nice
They find a nice wallpaper on the net and they want to show it off so they post a half effort screenshot I agree. Thats why I use my own wallpapers, especailly the ones that rejected. (oops) but I get to show it off,so... I think I have used only one that could be 'considered' cheesey, but it was a vecto

I hear what you're saying. you want critique Yes! And if I dare speak for a lot of others, I think that's what the people who have had this issue are asking for. <img src="http://images.sta
For me there's nothing more off putting on a wallpaper than words. It's a big no, and probably explains why people don't rate it highly. Plus it has a lot of blank space That's what I'm talking about! Thank you. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs
, not too much but well, something is something.. I'm all confuzzled and embaressed now. Almost deleted this thread. I'm not trying to argue the amount of stars or even argue the reason I got the rating. I just would like to know why for my own reference, not to debate it or complain about it.
As for ratings, it has never been 5 stars, or anywhere near It started 5/10, that is 2 1/2 stars. My bad, I misread.
I understand what you're saying, Sir Bichur. After reading a lot of the forums on here and 'comments', I don't think too many people are afraid to leave themselves open for some 'ragging'. And I wouldn't post my work where I would be open to it, good or bad, if I couldn't handle a little ragging. I guess this is just a 'medium' I am trying to get a handle on and would like 'some' feedback. Other than that, without sounding li
I have seen some posts on how things are 'rated' and how some submissions get 'lost or burried'. Up til now, I haven't had a problem with this, so what would I have to say, right? Mostly, I am just happy when something of mine gets approved, and don't concern myself with the rating or where it ends up. But.. My most recent wallpaper started out with a 5 star rating them dropped to 3 in the same day...and there are NO comments.
Do they know there is no such thing as seamonkey? see monkey ->
I think the walls with the centered round images are overdone. (Even though I have done soem myself)...but this wall should have more stars. <br/
