I never got any message about AVG 7.5 not being supported/updated anymore. I just wasn't able to update all of a sudden, and then spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out what was wrong with my old XP-Laptop. Grrr.... X-( I now have switched to AVIRA as it performed quite well on the last program-comparison. I don't mind paying for a full version for my main rig, but my laptop is only online once about every two months nowadays and that is only to update Windows and other

Disciples 2 seems to somehow clash WindowBlinds. Try unloading WindowBlinds before you start Disciples2. I had the same problem, and adding Disciples to the peer-application list whithin WB didn't work, but unloading WB before starting Disciples does the trick (on my XPSP2 Laptop). :)

What Version of WB are you using? Where did you get it from? Open WindowBlinds, klick on System-Info and copy-paste the information from that panel here. I am running Vista64bit also and have no problems with WindowBlinds. :)

How does this work exactly? If the suites have to be redownloaded for a second computer, do they have to be redownloaded after a fresh OS-install as well? Can they be 'archived' through Impulse, and does this archive work on one or more computers? Would the cost of the additional server-load not counter-weight the gain from a few additionally sold suites? /me is worried that making a compact start-menu for her old XP-box would not be possible anymore.

Ubuntu is a free Linux-Distribution: [link="http://www.ubuntu.com/"]WWW Link[/link] And yes, it needs to be installed on its own partition or harddrive. The fastest way to find out would be to google it, but there is always Wikipedia: [link="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_operating_systems"]WWW Link[/link] :)

That post is a couple of months old ;) IP used to work fine (with the exception that icl-packages could not be loaded) on Vista64, but the latest betas (all 3.99+ betas) are not as yet compatible. Make sure you download and install IP 3.2. This is the version that should work reasonably well with Vista64. :)

Did you download and install StardockCentral (link provided in your confirmation email for ObjectDesktop)? If not, install and run it, and choose from the ObjectDesktop components (including DeskScapes) you want to install.
Why not switch it to the silver subtheme? That's what I always did (FIRST thing I did).
Even better; install WB at work! That's what I did. But if you can't get admin-rights, the silver-theme is the way to go. :)

It's slowly getting warmer (up to 14°C) here, but we've had a looooong Winter (not really cold though) as well. .... I am sooooo sick and tired of the cold. :p /me dreams of good old Coraki......

Kaspersky Internet Security 7 was one of the first packages to run on Vista64, so I bought it, but I planned to switch to NOD32 when that was running on 64bit. I am glad I didn't make the switch, as NOD's firewall performed really badly in the last test, and now it seems that it has lost its edge in the Antivirus-sector as well.
aufisch: Do you have the new UI or the old one?
I have still the old UI. Until the last update that was kind of expected since IP didn't officially support Vista64. :)

Updated Today - IP starts normally, but I don't see any difference. Changing IP-packages seems to work though (it is hard to tell as not all packages change all the icons). Impulse claims it is version 3.99.143, but the version-number on the "about"-page shows it to be 3.00.00(x64). I am starting to wonder whether IP updated at all?
