Hmmm, just a few thoughts: Isn't it a truly subjective thing wether you like a skin or not and therefore think it is worth a 5 or 8 or whatever? Are the people who rate obliged to give good ratings just because the skin was made by someone well known? (please don't get me wrong here; I love Starone's work and this has nothing to do with what I personally think about her and her work) If only journeyman and above can rate and someone gets a bad rating; will everyone sta

I am sooo happy with blobby and striper swimming around my desk! I think I will get rid of my real fish-tank that's just too much work!!
You might have to just copy the whole folder in your LogonStudio folder manually. It should show up then?
How about having the initial admin rating which would determine whether a wall/skin is visible or not and then in addition a second user rating which would show up on the skin, but would not influence whether the wall/skin is visible or not? If a wall/skin then gets a real good public rating the admins could review it and improve its rating if needed?? As it is at the moment I do not dare to rate because I believe as a non artist I do not have the right to influence whether a piece
Oh gosh, my hands start shaking and my knees are trembling; we are not far away from Orwell's 1984!!!!
I agree with Tech Cat on that, the thought that Microsoft will get its hands on DVD technology and make it exclusive to its products makes me feel uneasy. Don't get me wrong here, I am a devout WinXP user but should one single company really have so much power? Oh here I go again, worrying about things I have no influence on...
I am a desktop junkie. I need a different desktop every week or I get sooooooooo bored. Is there a cure for that?
Ahhh, now this is a thread to warm up my heart
I turn out to be a counselor (iNFj) too and I thought that description was almost uncanny. On the other hand, should I just accept a class (drawer) assigned to me by a computer program? What do you think?
I agree with elvee on that matter. Rising the price (renewal) for OD would indeed be like paying twice for the same thing if you are also a WC subscriber. 250 Meg (a year?) seems to be fair especially since a WC subscription is really not that expensive.
Also I'd prefer that the free version were a complete skin in its own right, as I don't agree with actually crippling a skin to generate sales Wow, I am impressed by our attitude! Thanks a lot!
My personal favourites are: WB, IconPackager, Winamp, Wall, Sysmetrix, ICQ, OD and Logon.
This is a very good idea and one I would surely support (provided I like the skin). You could also include matching wallpapers in the commercial suite. Another idea would be to simplify the free version even more by releasing it without shell style support. This way people could still "test drive" the skin without too much work involved for you (ok, I know there is still a lot of work involved but you know, it might be a little less....)
I you are on a dial up modem you have to wait a little longer kona0197
I am a Wincustomize subscriber, I paid for Object Desktop and I have purchased two Pixtudio suites but I have never made a donation. Why, you ask? Now there are different reasons: 1. I am a postgraduate student on a very limited scholarship 2. I am very naive, assuming that art published on Wincustomize is actually made by people who do skinning as a hobby rather than a using it as a source of income. 3. When I look at the seemingly "tight" skinner community at WC, I can't help b
Wow, those were cool!!!
