Dana, first of all you are invited to Maryland with OPEN ARMS, I mean it. My husband didn't even blink when I asked him that day. I know it sounds crazy to bring your kids up here and hang out for awhile, but you need a break. At worst, you might go more nuts being with us, then you'll appreciate what you had in Texas. haha. (OK, so it's probably true.) I spent 3 months without my husband earlier this year and IT. WAS. HARD. I kept wondering h

I love church. Except when I have a responsibility to fulfill. Then my stomach gets in flip-flops, turning into all-out stomach cramps, my face turns pale, I break out in a cold sweat and I feel like I need to throw up. I have social anxiety. Anxiety in general. It goes beyond simply being nervous. When it hits, I feel like I'm going to die. <

so why DID you avoid posting this at first? The short answer is, "Technical difficulties." I wanted to edit the videos to be more watchable before I mentioned anything. And I really wanted to introduce it with a video. More agonizing details of the technical difficulties: Editing was extremely difficult from my hubby's laptop which is all I had at the time in the hotel during our PCS. The laptop has been running slower lately. There w

Oh I loved that video about strangers hugging each other. I had to watch it several times partially out of amazement. It made me cry. I clicked on one of your links too (a lesson on how to hug). This one gave me sweet shivers... If it is the guy starting the hug, when approaching, put your hands on her shoulders and look her into the eyes. Say you love her. I'll have to tell my husband about that one. But it kinda takes away from the

Funny, seeing the title of these articles made me think Dharma wrote them. What a cute surprise that it's you. I can see why you're "attracting" so many ladies (you mentioned in your other article).

(Let's promise to run away and join the circus one day!) That would be wonderful! (If only we'd started this a couple decades ago!!) My son is starting to catch the bug too, like your boy. He's a little put off that he has to wait until he's six years old, (thankfully we'll still be living nea

Oh D!! I know this is crazy, but I've been thinking of inviting you over...plus, I think we're in the same friendship classification. We're both military wives with two young children, we go to the same church, you turned me on to trapezing. We sound pretty similar, but you're the braver one! Baltmore has permanent trapeze classes just 30 minutes away from where I live, 5 days a week through Augu

I can't bear to let my tiny children's cries go unattended for even a moment...How absolutely inside-out of any adult to mistreat an innocent child...your story is heart-wrenching. Although you have no conscious recollection of that trauma, how significant that you've been informed so you can at least piece together the life-lasting effects it's probably had on you. Too bad the effects of such traumas can't fade along with the memory.

Welcome to the mainland! It looks like you're having a refreshing time. And yay solid bananas! My girl is an oatmeal fiend. I've also offered her avocados in a mesh bag, but I guess she doesn't like them as much her daddy & I do. We gave her a peach in the mesh bag and she scarfed it down as much as babily possible...and we tried a banana in there once or twice too, but she didn't go for it much, I guess our timing was off. Maybe she wasn't

Neat-o, the first Sunday we were here (May 13th) we went to the Odenton ward. We were attracted by the 11:30 meeting time. But we learned that since we'd be living on base, we'd belong to the Ft. Meade ward. So we start at 9:30. (Is this TMI for the public realm? Oh well.) I'll try to find a picture that best portrays our family, or maybe it's high time we make one. Heh. How fascinating it will be to meet a real live Joe User. People

Beautiful picture...and HEY, I came here to announce the same discovery that BFD did. Way to go!!! TOP TEN!!! And I've been dying to spill this for a whole month now...but you've inspired my husband & me to take flying trapeze lessons too!! I'm having a bear of a time getting the videos edited & online though. I can't wait to share, but there's no way to top what you've accomplished! You're the awesomest!!!!

Hey, we just moved to the DC area (we're at Ft Meade). Our first Sunday at church we considered a bulletin about the Mormon Choir of DC performing that evening at a nearby stake center. Would that have been YOU performing??? Oh man we should have gone, but we were so sluggish that evening. Well I'm looking forward to the next chance we get to see the choir. Oh, how surreal as JU increasingly intertwines with real life.

I swear if I were engineer minded I'd work on it non stop. First person to really find a GOOD alternative...wins. Ever since I heard about hydrogen-powered fuel cells in 2001, I just don't understand why the powers-that-be aren't taking that idea more seriously??? It's the best fuel alternative imo...

I've been badly in need of a pedicure for years...but I'm just so embarrassed...I'm sure your Koreans would have a fit over my nasty feet. Good for you taking care of yourself. Reply By: InBloomPosted: Monday, May 28, 2007I didn't even want to click on the video... Same here! :<img src="../imag

Don't you hate that? Base housing almost always is such a disappointment. We don't live on base unless absolutely necessary. From what you've shared I can see that your home is gorgeous. You've really got it together. And of course I get the impression that your hubby is a LOT higher ranking than mine, heh. So your options are pretty wide open. As far as our domicile adventures, we're learning by trial and error. At our first base we were put in

Glad to see you made it ok Angela. Yup, we did, thanks! We whisked right through Ohio in one day...it was all a blur from the back seat, but we spent that night somewhere on the western edge of Pennsylvania. Gosh OH & PA are gorgeous states. What a treat...it just got prettier & prettier the further eas
