Tuesday, December 14, 2004 Last Sunday sitting with my class in sharing time we were enjoying a lesson by Patricia Martin. At the end of her lesson she closed with "...amen." followed by a chorus of little amens, and from behind me I heard, "amen, Mommy." I thought that was cute, so I turned around and smiled at her. The sweet little girl's response to my smile wa

My reasons for starting a blog: 1) No one to talk to!! And I have thoughts that I want to be heard, so at least by publishing this, I'll know that there's a possibility that someone may read it. That's second best to having a really good conversation with someone. Speaking of that, I bumped into Stacy at the commissary last night and she is really
Powerfully thought-provoking article. Yep, if any or all of those things had happened, our GREAT country wouldn'ta been so great after all. We would have imploded right then and there. Now that such things ARE happening now...implosion is only imminent. Why don't we see it? Because "times have changed"? Because we're more laid-back than we used to be? Are we entitled to be war mongers now? Is the govt entitled to stifle ou
You made an excellent point with that article, and it goes to show that people just need to become better people. We need to cultivate our social skills. We need to learn to truly care about others, and strengthen our empathy muscles. We never know when that one moment will come when our tact (or lack of tact) will either heal or shatter someone's heart. You're not one to be easily defeated; your embarrassments just propel you forward. Such optimism! How do you do it?! What do you have for breakfast every day? Can I have some too? lol
That's SO COOL!!! That's the neatest thing ever. So LH, since your best friend was on TV during a very major sporting event , that makes you famous by proxy, right? And since my friend's friend was on TV, that makes me famous by proxy too. I'll go get dressed up and get ready to sign autographs now. Thanks! lol feeling goofy must go to sleep now
P.S. The Air Force unofficial motto is "Work Smarter, Not Harder." I scoffed at that as a former Army girl, but y'know what??? It's true, and it really adds to the morale of the people. The Air Force cares a lot more about its people than the Army does. I'm living it. I know. The AF sends people out on FOUR month deployments. Think of it!!! It's like he never left. And they give you another year AND A HALF before they send him away
Bottom Line: The Army SUCKS!!!! I got in for college money, then got out while I was still young enough to start a new career with my youthful vigor. I earned a TON of MONEY!!! Poor Dana, your husband abandons you while you sit there and say, Oh, George Bush is so great, Oh, I love America.
