my attempts to live green have been rebuffed continually by local laws and ordinances. I had a similar frustration a few minutes ago. I just saw the recycle pick-up man dump my PAPER RECYCLABLES into my TRASH BIN which hadn't been collected yet. How's that for recycling?? Every week I drive to the recycle center which accepts the plastics, cardboard, glass, and aluminum that we have. The only thing they don't take is paper so I have to leave the paper ou

I didn't know about Burr Oak. This past spring on our way from ND to Maryland we took the Laura Ingalls route. We hit De Smet, Walnut Grove, and we were thinking of hitting her place in Missouri too, but we were travel weary and my brain was full of too much Laura in too short of a time. It was wonderful though. I would give anything (within reason) to have a taste of life back then. I know it was tough, but it was also pure. I love that purity. <B
Disclaimer: I'm writing this in the middle of the night, under the influence of Codeine (I have a headache & insomnia, so I thought I'd see what that pill could do for me). I haven't been around here lately because "real life" has been taking over quite a bit. That's a good thing. But I do wish I could have internet access hard-wired to my head so I could
Beautiful! And I'm astounded that you're additionally brave to do this stuff at nighttime. Hey, wear white next time you fly in the dark, OK? Or glow-in-the-dark (that would probably be more your style). Then we can see you better
(My husband wrote that last comment.) Oh, and since I was last here it looks like he deleted it too. Hmm. In response to Gideon's, "Why didn't Al Gore use his influence during EIGHT YEARS as VP to affect climate change?" My husband said, "What VP doesn't sit and do nothing?" I, however, do not endorse that comment (and apparently after the heat of the moment died down, my hubby remembered that he prefers to avoid conflicts). I
The only official-sounding information I can give you on Wellbutrin is what's on Wikipedia , or anything else you already have at your fingertips on the net, because I tossed out the informational paper they gave me when I picked up the prescription. But basically the information I was given was that it creates "feelings of well-being" and has also been shown to be effective with smoking cessation. <
Well then what's his deal? If he doesn't walk the talk, then what's really going on? Does he have a hidden agenda? The whole thing seemed pretty sincere to me. But there I go relying on my instincts again... I'll read your link Dr Guy when I get a second. As it is now, I'm stealing time from my son. I'm supposed to be taking him to a Kinder Farm Fall Festival. He's getting antsy, gotta go!!!
Wow Brad, apart from our huge differences in accomplishment, you could have very well been describing me there. I find it interesting that bipolar / hypomania can affect all kinds of people in all walks of life, and that it affects people in different ways. While some people's bursts of creativity and work lead them to success, others can be driven to swirling mental confusion and ruin, while others manage to stay somewhere inbetween. Althou
As I logged in, I wasn't too surprised to see that you Joes are already talking about this. Well dangit, I want to talk about it too. A couple days ago as I was trying to make sense of the pile-o-everything that's always accumulating on our computer desk, I noticed a couple DVDs that John rented the night before. Garfield's Holiday Celebration (yes, the ora
Hmm. Thanks for sharing this. I think my eternal cynicism would've saved my baby in this case anyway because I don't believe in cold medicines. Colds aren't curable. I believe in letting them run their course. Anyhow, I agree with Tex. When necessary I use Ocean for li'l April (it was prescribed) and then suck out the yuck.
Hey, I've used this word in normal conversation before. Really! It's kinda like the word, "countenance."
The truth is, you're hot in SPITE of the minivan. But minivans are hot anyway. They're like luxury yachts on wheels. And yours even moreso.
Hah! I sent this to my husband who pees in the sink. But we don't argue about toilet seat lids, he just finds it easier to pee in the sink at night rather than search for the toilet.
Was that a cartwheel in action or did you muscle yourself up there and hold the pose?? I'm guessing that you're capable of doing either.
I'm a loser.
Glad to see you finally decided where to hang the pictures on the wall. That's what this is about, right? JK Neat-o!
I LOVE this! I'd definitely be comfortable there.
Of course most parents would love to have brand spanking new schools for their children, already paid for, when they move to a new community. But, we didn’t even look at the schools, only the test scores. That's a good idea. I didn't even think to check the test scores of the schools we considered. <BR
Today, Labor Day, is the last of a four-day weekend for my husband. I found it odd that I woke up so early with an unusual drive to take care of my morning regimine & housework while everyone else was still asleep. The motive was healthy. I wanted to be ready for the kids when they wake up, they'd be greeted by a clean house, and I'd be able to give them all my focus.
I'm guessing you're not a parent...I just can't see how anyone with children could get entertainment out of this sort of morbidity. I'm glad in the USA we've got such fantastic prenatal care available, which surely minimizes a lot of these sad birth defects.
What a precious scene! I love your red, white, & blue theme too. You always seem to make every special occasion even more special with those extra little touches Enjoy your time together!
Oh that's so funny! What an endless source of frustration it is to try to keep every forbidden thing out of baby's reach! I swear my baby has an internal zeroing device that leads her straight to the one accidental deadly/unhealthy/etc thing in a room full of baby toys. She'll zero in on a teensy scrap of cellophane (who knew that was on the carpet, and goodness knows where it came from??), or a tiny chunk of cheese that my son puked up, then there are the bugs, kitchen crumbs... <
I agree with them removing ripped works...any author of any medium should have full control of their property, whether it be graphics, music, video, etc. Bummer because although I knew that "illegal" things were up there, I still enjoyed it when I had a song in my head (like some obscure but much-loved song from past decades) I could go to YouTube and hear it / see it. My son, as recently as today has been randomly singing out, "Domo arigacho Myste
It's part of the whole blog group thing apparently. I have one too for a failed "diet club" that I started waaaaay back. Interesting. So do you have to click a radio button to choose which blog group you want to post to every time you start an article too? <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%"
