i got Xp home edition and no customizations, i only d-load new desktop themes...and the colour is that of the old theme...eg. if i had a black desktop and changed to green the writing under the icosn would still be black.... thanks for replying to me

HI, my desktop items have a background colour on the writing e.g. the Microsoft "Word" icon has green behind the "word" writing....how can i get rid of this and make it see-through/transparent>???? Please help....don't laugh, again, im new to this whole modifying thing....
