If you're referring to the colored tabs just above the task bar towards the bottom of the screen shot (that say Main, Apps, Internet, etc.) then it's not a skin you're looking for, but rather the program Object Dock (and because they're tabs, it would be Object Dock Plus which isn't a free program). You can view Object Dock (free version) and Object Dock Plus (paid version) and their respective abilities at https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdoc

Thank the Powers That Be WC is back! I missed the forums this morning when my WC browser wouldn't connect and tried via IE to reach the forums and still no go. I had to suffer the day at work until 12:30am before I could get back home and online to see if the forums were back up! Please don't let me go through withdraw again!!! Excellent job at restoring and getti

UPDATE: “We don’t like to think of the Internet as fragile. It relies on Internet service providers and telecommunications carriers to pass traffic from one network to another. Without those relationships, the Net can fall apart. That became evident Oct. 5 when Level 3 Communications Inc., an ISP that calls itself “the network partner you can rely on,” got into an escalating financial feud with fellow ISP Cogent Communications

I'm a subscriber and happy to be one, however, I think that the ideas presented for a tiered subscription basis are very feasable and more likely to gain new people and income. Why would I say this? I've forgone paying my gas bill this last month to make sure that I had my subscription with WC paid up and in good standing order. But, as a subscriber, I don't do anthing on this site other than download and make the occasional post. I'm not a progra

Well, looks like I've just put someone else on the road to addiction....not sure how that will look on my resume.....does it make me a Pusher? Pusher is probably too harsh a word for this instance...maybe "enabler" would be a better way of phrasing it.... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/sm

Right click the Task Bar and choose Properties from the pop up menu choices. In the first tab of the Properties window (labeled Task Bar), make sure that you have the box next to "Keep the Task Bar on top of other windows" checked. Make sure to click the Apply Button at the bottom. This will keep the maximized windows from going over top of the Task Bar. DD

That's my main reason for my change of mind. I looked at my profile and have been a member since May of this year. I've downloaded 83 MB. Whereas, I'm an ObjectDesktop customer , I figured 83MB worth of skins is worth the $19.95 to WC as well and it's artists. After seeing your post, I went and lo

I have got IP to behave a bit more by uninstalling and redownloading it again from SD. The icon cache always need to rebuild for some reason to make icon changes stick. This din't happen before WB5. Not a huge problem, just a little irritating. Thanks for the help Septimus. Maybe I'll give that a

Anyone else having issues with IconPackager not being able to apply IP's? Fortunately it allowed me to apply Luna Default, but that's it I have one IP that won't apply the desktop icons (iCandy-Junior Yel). It applied all the other icons in the set, though and no noticable problems with any other s

Personally, I don't see the necessity of changing anything. Why not just move your files to the proper folder? (I.E. move music files to my music, move pictures to my pictures) For those that have stable OS systems and LOTS and LOTS of space on their internal hard drive...great and goodie sweets for you. There are still those of out here that pr

Have you checked to be sure you haven't ticked "Always use the XPTaskbar defined in... (under User Overrides) Thanks for the tip, Jebland. However, that was the first thing that I checked for in the settings in WindowBlinds(Overrides). What is the option that I should have checked in there though or should I even check the box? Currently it is

Can't you right click, Properties, and change the Target? With the XP Start Menu you can't change the Target of My Pictures or My Music (it always points this folder at C:\My Documents\etc.). I just did the addition of a new folder in the XP start bar (ps Rjallard..if you don't know how in the XP start, change to Classic start then after applyin

I have the current version of OD and love to change skins and such on a pretty frequent basis. However, I'm finding that sometimes even though I've used the Theme Manager (or even the WB control center) to change skins, I get a task bar from a previous skin showing but the browser windows and other elements of the OS will skin correctly with the new skin: example is I used Killer WB visual style and then change my skin to Zippo WB visual styleeverything but the Task Bar/Start Menu changes to th

I wanted to do this same thing with the My Music folder (I keep music files on a separate external hard drive). I landed up right clicking on the start menu, then going to customize, creating a new folder and calling it My Music (made it a link) and then removed the My Music folder that XP had in the original start menu that linked to the C:\My Documents\My Music folder. Hope this helps. DD
