I heard a caller on Rush Limbaugh bring up an excellent question about this today... Was the school flying the US flag on Cinco de Mayo? If not, they were in violation of the law. If so, how do they justify harrassing these kids?
I wish I lived closer to some of the places these things are happening! Cinco de Mayo isn't a national holiday in Mexico at all. It is only celebrated in two places in the world. The US and the Mexican state of Puebla (where the battle of Puebla occured). I always thought the US celebration was a result of marketing by the alcohol industry. It probably snow balled because of that, but the US celebration was started in the 60s, as a gestur

Infidel, aren't you being a bit racist here? There are illegal aliens from over 100 countries. Why are you singling out the Mexicans? Furthermore, many Mexicans are here legally and contribute greatly to our society. Specific nation of origin is only an issue for those who want to make it one.

I guess he forgot that he said that illegal aliens wouldn't be covered under Obamacare... which means his own law will require proof of legal status. He's not only completely ignorant of what this law actually says, but if we take him at face value, he's declaring Obamacare unconstitutional.
The major question that needs to be asked here is, if it wasn't for the lies propagated by the incompetent press, would this law even be contraversial? Is any part of the hysteria actually based on fact?

I'm a little mixed on this one. I am for it because, AZ has the right to enforce laws within it's borders. Yes, there are federal responsibilties here, but the state also has borders and jurisidiction to enforce the law within them. The state also has the responsibility to enforce trespassing laws. So now, to sepatate my opinion of Cikomyr from the point I made... I'll repost just the point... I take this topic one step further. Of the people who do pay taxes, how many of us are actual "net tax payers". Add whatever that percentage to this 47% and you get the picture. Most Americans don't add a red cent to the federal budget... and lefties want to make the percentage of people who do shoulder the tax burden even smaller. Brad isnt' talking about general

The only reason for Cikomyr to ask the question is he can't stand not pigeon holing people. "Victim = Respect" is how he operates.
