I do not believe there are any skins currently using the new features.
Isn't it kind of silly to include new features and not even show them off? o_O
Astyanax
Do all the skins included support the new features?
What will be fixed? Will this allow me to use icon packager without the headaches of blank icons?
It'll fix the corruption issue, if you follow what I had said above about installing IP through SDC first it should work fine afterwards. But seeing how your problem is solved you wont need to do it. I suggest installing IP through SDC, rebooting and then updating through Impulse. Something has gone fubar with the Impulse download for some reason and the only way to
I think the current IP is bugged on Impulse, I had to format and when I installed IP and went to apply icons half the exe files would become default icons. It too me 2 hours to figure out a fix, install IP through SDC then reboot and update through Impulse. bmetelsky: go to regedit.exe (type in start menu search) and browse to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex and delete the IconHandler folder, reboot and it should be fixed.

It also fixed an issue I was having after rebooting, I'd be forced into Basic mode on Vista x64 which no longer happens! :D
Are there any themes included that currently take advantage of the new additions?
whats a petitation?
I'm not talking about the DRM for Vista activation, which does suck, but the media DRM layer M$ built into Vista for third party hardware and software.
Yes, thats what I was referring to.
It's a beta, obviously the requirement is disabled. We'll see if they put it in by the time it gets released.
I'm talking about Vista here, it should be the same in Win7.
I think the major reason for the lack of 64bit support is because of the signed-driver requirement. Imho it's a good idea, but getting a signing certificate should be free... Verification by cash is a horrible way to solve it.
Things such as display drivers work fine in beta, IE: Nvidia drivers. And no, you don't have to hit f8 everytime to disable the signed-driver requirement to use them.
Expect Win 7 to go 'gold' around the 4th quarter 09.
3rd quarter it's due to go RTM actually.
There was a new update yesterday, version 4.10.177 but there is no information given under History. I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light on what has changed? I've also noticed that font file types do not change in 64-bit.
so when can we windows 7 testers get a wb beta try link i have the win 7 beta and would like to test wb on it . thx
Windows 7 just barely entered the beta stage, don't expect anything for months.
Was working fine until I rebooted, seems to disable DWM and force basic mode for me. Unloading and reloading Windowblinds does the trick but I have to do it every single time I reboot my PC. WB Config: Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 5.9 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 5.9 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.4 (build 116 x86 - Vista Edition) - 64 bit OS WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds
Well yeah deskscapes wont work, thats due to display drivers. Way until June when the OS has actually hit RTM before trying Deskscapes.
so its a giant ipod running a linux based kernel... sorry but the giant wheel idea is a completely moronic idea, it seems that apple has gone caveman only they invented something useless and definitely not user friendly. i can already picture people throwing that thing against a wall out of frustration. sad thing is this looks like something apple would actually do..
..odd, I reopened Impulse and chose "Re-Activate" for the hell of it and it's now activated. Can't argue with that. :P
I heard awhile back that it's possible to get the activation count reset VIA the forums so I figured I'd post and give it a try.. Hit the limit on WB after having to format due to new PC hardware, everything else activated fine but my guess is the limit has probably been hit on other things as well (IP and so on). If anyone is able to reset it that'd be awesome!

My current system as follows: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.40GHz (1600MHz FSB) | Gigabyte EP35-DS3P Sapphire ATi HD 4870 X2 | OCZ SLI DDR2 800 8GB (4x2GB) Seagate 250GB SATA II (Primary) | Corsair 750W PSU | Vista Ultimate 64-Bit Great overclocking board, most of the high end Gigabyte boards are top notch and well supported. This board is getting a bit old but still runs everything perfectly. I would suggest looking into the X38/X48/P45 chipsets such as the Gigabyte E
I'd also recommend http://www.zipzoomfly.com - It's basically a sister site of newegg.
why 64-bit only :/?
Because of the new hardware, for example you don't really want to use a Quad-Core processor in 32-Bit because the kernel will not fully utilize the 3rd and 4th cores, the performance increase is so minimal it's pathetic. A lot of people are also using more than 4GB of memory now, even if you have exactly 4GB 32-Bit doesn't even see the full amount of memory as it is, why stick with with 32-Bit? There is eventually a point in time where you
