I've seen alot of people mention how the random events are really over powerd, but I haven't seen a since "big" random event occure. Is there something I've done wrong or is it just coincidence(spelling).
StoweMobile
not to mention after you build so many they start to cost a Ton, so if you can afford all those bases, and, like dracil said, defend them then you're doing something right
lol, pretty lucky I would say
My problem is that when I upgrade a Design, both show, and its pretty annoying. So now I have to look specifically at the each on to find the one I want to build.
I think what he is saying is they go directly from were they're built to a hapitable planet. If that is the case then, yes the AI has an advantage. However if the ship deviates in anyway from its course then it doesn't cheat, it just has a good idea due to stellar cartography as the guy before me said. I mean I can send a ship to were a star system is on the map and by the time I get close it could see were the planet is. -Try your test again with Rare habital planets, and see if the AI sen
I love the minor races for alot of reasons. -They add alot of flavor to the game -There a good source of money -Major civs like to declare war even if they're no where close to them, giving you a good reason to declare war on that civ.
it would be cool if you could develop moons or something like that.
did you turn the volume down.....jk im sure you didn't
I quess that could be it, but its counting the whole fleet like one ship. Like if each ship shoul get +3 to beam weapons and +2 to armor or something it only counts as one ship if your on the military starbase. Is This a glitch, or is that the way its supposed to be.
they won't stack the way your thinking. If your refering to the economic capital that only raises the economy on the one planet that its built. That +50% doesn't go to every planet. Im not sure, but if you haven't built an economic (or any other) capital for your empire yet you could theoretically build that one on a captured plantet that already had one, and in that case, they would probably stack giving you a +100 economy on that plant. but like I said, Im not sure
seriously this is really bothering me. I have to watch so closely for enemy ships now.
Why can't you trade the minors for theirs. That don't make much sence.
I was noticing in the deplomacy screen that you can trade your starbases to other civs. -Well im curious as to why you can't see any of the AI's starbase to select for trade. One of the minor races has like 2 resources in my territory that I couldn't get to before them. I was gona give em a tun of techs for those starbases, but I noticed that wasn't an option. I was a little pissed cause now I have to take them out...well I guess thats no biggie.
I personally wish anomalies would respawn randomly aroung the galaxy, because there usually gone after a while, and any ships with survey moduals are completely usless
I hate to say the name, but MOO3 had the worst random events of all time. If anyone here played that they should remembe. It seemed like every random event was terrible, and they happened more often in that game. I remeber one game, I was finnaly doing fairly good (rare on that game). And there was a industrial accident on my home world that decresed its PQ buy half(i don't think it was called PQ in that game, but it was the same concept). -That was the last time I played that game with ran
has anyone else noticed this
Ya, LoL. This is a pretty cool feature, but in one of my games, ever turn a minor race would shoot me something similar to that, and I didn't have any ships anywere near him.
yep, it can get pretty expensive too.Alot the moduels require you to churn out some cash, so you better have some bc saved up.
I've found a glitch concerning starbases. Lets say you have a military star base that adds somthing like +1 ship beam weapons. Ok well if you have a fleet of ships, lets say 3. Each ship gets a bonus +1 to beam weapons, giving the overall fleet a +3 bonus (3 ships +1 each). Well If you move that fleet onto that military star base, it only gives you +1 as if there were only one ship, so instead of haveing +3 that fleet only has +1. It then goes back to normal after moving away from that star base
Defliantly the best space strategy I've every played, and in the top 3 strategy games of all time in my opinion.
lol sry, was just glancing, and saw microsoft
How much of a percent...I guess I could figure that out on my own.
How much exactly is ship maintenance for each individual ship. Does it have to do with how much the ship costs, or does it have to do specifically with the the hull class (tiny, small, medium ect.), and if so how much for each one. -I was building a small hulled ship and noticed it cost like 3 maintence for that one small ship. Isn't that a little much.
After my initial shock, I see the point you all are trying to make. I was thinking the wrong way about this whole thing. Thanks for putting up with my noob hood. I was tinking way to much civ, but now that understand exactly how this works I retake all my nasty remarks P.s. Not matter what I say, I could never stop playing this game.
Im pretty sure most of those that start with PQ15 home world have to +planet quality bonus in thier racial abbilities. This would acount for the home world, and all the others they own.
