Is there any way to make changes to a downloaded Desktop? I want to replace some of the icons and have them direct me to different .exe files than the ones that came with the download.

Can someone tell me how to change the weather station that pops up on Interface 1.1 ? I want California Weather.
You do fantastic work. My only request would be to have it in 1024x768. Someone said you might make one in that resolution if I asked nicely Is down on my knees begging ok? I would really like to have that Blowout one workable for me.
I can display the desktop at 1280x1024 just fine and that part is great and everything is just the right size and I can read everything. The problem that I have is when I move off the desktop to anything else it becomes unreadable at that resolution so I would continually have to switch resolutions to be able to use any themes made at 1280x1024. I just thought it was odd that developers of these themes would not try to create themes for the larger au
I am curious as to why most of the DesktopX Themes are designed for users whose screen resolution is 1280X1024. About 41% of users use 1024x768 while only 21% use 1280x1024. This translates to about 80% of the users not being able to use these themes unless they switch resolutions just to look at their desktop.
Got it. Thanks for your help
Is there any way to alter a downloaded DesktopX Theme so that the buttons point to my computer files rather than the files of the theme creator? Some of the buttons work that are common to XP but clicking on Graphics for instance gives me an error message. Also, some of the themes have external links to pages that I don't go to so is there anyway to change those links to something else?
Thanks, I will give that a try.
I am having a problem with installing themes that have the .dxtheme extension. I downloaded DestopX. Is that the program to use to install this theme? Need help on this.
Thaks......I was finally able to get it changed
Hi, thanks for your reply. I have tried this but I keep getting an error message that the skin has Critical Errors. Then it lists a ton of errors, none of which I know what to do with. Bottom line it wont let me save the change. Any ideas?
Is it possible to change the tool tips background color or the text color of a downloaded skin using Skin Studio. It is too dark and I can't read it the way it is. Any help with this will be appreciated.
