hey lou if someone is taking the time to mess with you, it means you have 'ARRIVED" if you do not ruffle a few feathers time to time you would be writing a real boring blog. Boring you ain't!@!! Much appreciated MM...thanks!!
Xythe
We may not agree a lot of the time Xythe and clash in a flash, but I would not want you to leave, you contribute here and that is what it is all about. Thanks Jen. I misunderstood the scoring yet again. 4000 points is a LOT, and I figured I was offending a lot of people somehow. Thats simply not my purp
Your blog point total is based on the last 30 days, Xythe, so what's probably happened is that a couple of threads which generated a lot of points last month have dropped off, causing your 'total' to decline. Ahhh...gottcha <TABL
I see no problem with them as long as they follow the rules with them, such as having them off during class time. Agreed
If the kids want to waste their time, let them. If the kids want to waste their time, let them do it at home. School is not really a place to waste time, is it? When one kids wasted time interferes with another kids learning, special circumstances might be in order for the offender; such as sending them
IMHO, if a teacher has to tell a child more than once to put a phone away, she didn't do her job the first time. If you instruct your child, and she/he fails to follow your directions, what do you personally do? Would you allow the teacher the same?
in light of the attacks on schools by gunmen etc and some of the stories we have heard here on Ju about lock downs, teachers should have cell phones for such instances - to be used only at those times to keep in contact with police or something.. I guess I was a bit lame in describing what I meant. I do
The problem isn't the phones in school, it is the kids using them. Fair enough on this note. I'm only wondering how much authority a teacher would have. From what I see a bit of, is kids not listening to, or abiding by the authority of their teachers. Complicating matters even more, is I notice parents
What on earth is the purpose of our children having a cell phone in the classroom. For that matter, do teachers need phones in the classroom as well? We send our kids to school to learn, not to chat on the phone. We pay our teachers to do a job, teach our children, not to worry about who is trying to get ahold of them during class time. As I see
I'm not to sure whats up, but it seems as my point total has fallen some 4000 points in less than 2 weeks. As far as I know, the only way to receive negative points, is by users using the "trolling" button on my articles/comments. If this is the case, and If you guys don't really like my blog that badly, please just simply mention it to me and I
"Awesome dude, save that shit, it can make us humans really powerful against evil......" yeah. This is a pretty huge misconception. Why do you think the most wize characters, such as Galadriel, Gandalf, Elrond, faramir, etc fought to refuse the One?
Merry Messiah-mas to you!! Merry Christmas KFC
worship in the traditional sense I'm not so certain what the "traditional sense" is? I suppose when I first began worshiping God, I had to, like Icon mentioned, believe God existed, and that He existed as an entity rather than a person or thing. I consider worshiping to be a more spiritual thing rather than a group or religious
Hm well, I guess some people are better off as friends than as co-workers. well said raven!
Did Sauron put HIMSELF into the other rings? It was the evil of the Dark Lord that made the ring evil. His malice was in the ring itself as the description of his forging the rin

You've probably heard the word yuletide used fairly recently. How ignorant of us to forget the true meaning of the yuletide, huh? Point well taken. Inventing history is s

Not to detract or demean your feelings Dharma, because I can certainly understand them. But... Because I cannot help but think that when that young man looks at his face in the mirror ten years (or 20, or 30) from now, he will think about what an awful price he paid for a gallon of gas. ...do p
For you. A LOT more people in America celebrate Christmas than claim to be Christians. I'm not so certain its "just for me" Baker. If you look into the root of the word Christmas, it comes from Christ's Mass. This is what it in fact is. Should people look at it otherwise, it don't change the meaning, bu
Many people over the past several decades have read Tolkien, and in particular the Lord of the Rings trilogy. In the past couple of years, perhaps even more folks have seen the movies. Being a fan of Tolkien, I've given great thought of some of the specifics of Tolkien's writing. I thought I might run some of my questions and feelings here on The Mouth of Xyt
If you watch CSPAN you'll see that probably a third of the people in our Congress speak like this all the time. Noted. I'm going to try and devote at least 1 to 2 hours a week on CSPAN. I'm not a big TV dude, but I really would like to understand how our nation functions and who's running it a bit better.
How about you? Yeppers
Sounds like a bit of sciatica Mason. 3 to 5 trips to the massage therapist clears it up for a few months. Course this don't help you while your out on the road.
Its always easy to know if your a guy. If a guy feels like he's on the rag from all the bitching; he knows.
