I think it will be at least as good as NWN and its various sequals/premium modules. Why? First and formost NWN has over 2,000,000 registered users for which many are extremely vocal. NWN developers listen very closely to these users and move the development of this game directly inline with user comments. I have found this true. Suspicion and caution should not be confused with fear. It's totally natural, (IMHO), to be suspicious of wrong doers that meet a certain criteria, and to be cautious of being near them.

Well chances are if you can boot to Knoppix, then you have a software issue. Some things I might do are to remove all external devices from your PC and try to boot. Have you installed any new hard/software lately? I think you will know a lot more after you try booting to Knoppix.
