It's faster but there are a couple of issues, the main one is Firefox support which causes a problem with downloads. In fact I can't download anything using Firefox, only IE6. This is a bit of a pain because Internet Explorer has more security issues than the CIA but that said, the site look so much cooler.

Already had two crap out on me after a similar period of continuous use so I bought a 2.5" drive momobay with USB2 and Firewire. Quicker, more efficient and easier to use. I think the article means when they are used frequently, I used mine in packet write mode as a spare storage drive for transferring data between systems.

I use all three and if I could get the compatibility for games etc. I would drop Windows like radioactive waste. I would probably go with OSX as first choice but as far as Windoze goes I would leave without looking back.

I have broadband at work and a 56K modem at home because I live in the sticks. I am now at the stage where I will not bother to access Wincustomize and a lot of other sites at home as it takes about ten minutes to look at three pages. I download most files at work and save them to a packet written CDRW to take home but I'm now getting to the stage where I'm heartily sick of the telecoms companies who are ignoring people who live in rural areas. Yeah and once they have their hand in your pocket thay have you by the nuts. I am sick to death of the corporate world and the way they grab everything they can. At the end of all this with digital copying and internet radio scuppered who will they blame next for the lack of music sales.
