Hmm...interesting. Is any religion *really* peaceful? How many people have died because of religion? Catholics, Lutherans and Protestants are all Christian....how many "wars" have been because of them? how many people have died? Let me correct myself; the ideologies. The people on the other hand...

Two things... Dr. Guy and Leuki ~ Thanks for letting me know... Now, Gid... Tell you what. Why don't you back up your statements with FACTS or conjecture? Dr. Guy gave you two good examples of where "art" that was MEANT to be directly offensive to Christians (and WAS, mind you) was publicly brought out and DID N

What said? It seems that there is a sentiment going around that if muslims arn't going to stop those of their faith from doing what they do, then screw them.... (terrorism,etc...) But, what about OUR problems....we as americans, or christians...or.....who ever... Perhaps i shouldn't even worry about this... i think there are a few- correction, MORE than a few here....that would feel i shouldn't open my mouth... *sighs*

Also... I've read that people here say "I am backing this because its free speech". BUT! With free speech comes the responsibility to practice discretion. We can't go 'willy nilly' with free speech. Sometimes...seriously, sometimes it is best to with hold something... Sadly, I have yet to read one person say that here on JU....

I've read articles around here about how Islam is this...and Islam is that. :S People, if this was any other faith, would you honestly think they would act any different? I don’t. They were insulted. And, the idiotic European "press" were willing to stoke the god damn fire and re-print. They claimed that they were 'invoking free press'. It doesn't take an ei

I've been writing and posting over at another website. A writing website. I posted couple poems, and to my amazement... The were received well. One got a 6 star rating. :O (1-5 stars / or (6 star = exceptional) / 6 stars) I was shocked, definantly. I've been absorbing in the advice like a sponge. I even have a few ideas now.....Well, so far so good. Best Reg

Well, I've finally done it. After long consideration (and lack of funds), I made the decision and finished up just recently. What might you ask? I've paid for a 'writers/authors' membership at a writing website that i have reviewed at for nearly 5 years... I've been wanting to... But with every check,etc... that i have received. Its burned a hole in my pocke

Yeah that sucks... better off that the city not waste the time, energy or effort correcting a term that is offensive like "nigger" is seen. Save a buck. Yeah... It could

*Sighs* Here we go again... Well, the local tribe has demanded that all of the roads, and locals that bear the name 'squaw', (geographic locals, etc..) be renamed. They also happened to insist that instead of squaw, to use 'shrew'. For those who don't get it, Shrew (according to Dictionary.com) means: 1. Any of various small, chiefly inse

The glue that held my family (Aunt's side, mum's side) together, my grandma. Mary Louise Gray. She was awesome. She was an avid painter, extremely skilled. She taught classes right up to the day before she was hospitalized. (The next morning, she was getting ready, when my cousin Tawnia found her slumped over, a stroke...) I didn't find out until around noon. I was in

EUGENE – Olga Ngata, the mother of former University of Oregon defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, passed away Friday night in a Phoenix, Ariz., hospital while undergoing treatment for a kidney ailment. The 44-year-old Ngata was undergoing a dialysis session at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital when she apparently encountered a cardiac arrest. An autopsy was to

Yes, and I either chat or email people I have a close relationship to. I'd hardly think you and I have any sort of relationship other than adversarial, so your emails were totally inappropriate. Well, I actually felt you and i had some what of a relationship. I'm not saying "Best friends". (Far from tha

I understand you're a whiny little narcissistic hypochondriacal attention whore who runs his mouth first and thinks later, if what you do when you put down your comic books could be called thinking at all. True... And no, they are not comic books. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center b

Why is it that people can't accept that there are people that are hopeless? Myself for example. I am a class a Fuck up. I do try, but am perfectly capable of screwing up, repeatedly. Why is it that people can be such asses? Why are there those who are, shall i say, rigid and willfully ignorant? Perhaps it is human nature. Perhaps it is...brain capacity? *shrugs* I do

Really now!? Listen, I have no problems with you. I never had any intention of killing myself. I have too much to live for. You don't understand other types of people. That (IMO) is your biggest problem. Like you said once, "There are two types of people. Me, and everyone else." That statement there (IMO) shows your ignorance. But, i'm just a lowly 18 year old. How would i know. (Sarcasm btw...just in case you misinterpreted it.) <

I feel now, more than ever before that Americans are forgetting why we are fighting terrorism. Either caught up blindly in the daily grind called life, listening to news of horrific numbers of casualties, or caught up in the pride of partisanship. Americans have shifted back into a pre 9/11 posture. Politicians are making things worse. They stand at the capitol, caug

I read a book titled My Jihad . This book gave me a better insight into mujhadeen,etc... However, the author, seems hyper and childish. But, that's just my opinion. He seems to write as if he was jumping suddenly from one spot to another. (stutter like) He is fairly biased against the CIA and never finds out (as far as anything in the book) why things happened the wa

Remember when… We closed our eyes, and dreamt... Of a life a whole lot brighter. Of a path untried, and unkempt. A dream of golden skies… A patch of cream and rye, A piece of heaven. Remember when, We kissed that summer day, I held your body close, I never let go, I cherished our time… I never forgot your touch. I remini
