Messy Buu, this was a very good piece of satire! As evidenced by the kool-aid drinkers being taken in by it! I was literally ! You get 5 gold stars for this one!
Dr Guy
In your own roundabout way, you have identified the reasdon that no sitting senator, since 1960, has been elected president. Yes, administrative and senatorial actions are different. But the country needs a leader, not a bureaucrat. Governors have shown they can lead, even it is just 1/50 of the nation. Senators have never shown any leadership (Both Republicans and Democrats) in any thing except pontificating.
Imagine the nationwide ridicule in the media if Dan Quayle had said such a thing about a Democrat president and Democrat voters: "If you live in the United States of America and you vote for George Bush, you've lost your mind." Which just goes to show how 'un-biased' the mainstream media is!
The fact that all the democrats can come up with to criticize Cheney's performance in the debate speaks volumes as to who they really think won the debate. Call it a lie, call it senility, call it a blooper or a stumble. The most glaring fact is that except for 2 occassions, it was true (and they were not in the Senate per-se), and the public listening to the debate will more remember that statement, than 2 obscure times they bumbed into eac
"Proof" is not neccessary to those that want to believe, only to those that don't want to Excellant response and the answer to the thread's question! As Kierkegaard said, you can only go so far in proving God Exists. Then you must make a leap of faith.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? The problem with this riddle is that it leaves out 'Free W
Politicians need to go get a real life, where they have to work like normal Americans. Stupid men. That is all I am going to say on ridiculous politics for today. I would agree with the first, and second parts. Put add to the second, "stupid men and Women" (Shirley Jackons Lee, Corrine Brown, Barbara Bo
Well, no, it just show they are different. Like, You wouldn't put lambs and wolfs in the same cage if you want both to grow and develop. And youu cannot say lambs are "inferior". Actually, they are. In the Darwinian sense. But you are comapring apples and oranges. Women are homosapiens, and men are
1. Not wanting men in their school doesn't necessarily mean they want women in men's private school. That's a logical fallacy. I'd hazard a guess that if you belong to a single-sex educational institution, you respect others' rights to belong to one as well. They should have thought of that (or the
Their attacks on the opponent - a man who is, by any stretch of the imagination, extremely middle-of-the-road and non-controversial (indeed, this moderate nature seems to have been the entire basis of his selection by the Democrats) - have been increasingly vicious and occasionally tinged with irrationality
While it is undeniable that there are many good. well intentioned people on both sides of this election, there appears to be a disturbing trend developing. Over the last month we have been treated (and I use that word sarcastically) to incident after incident of hate and intolerance by one side of this national debate. Shots fired into Campaign headquarters
I think that MM deserves a round of applause as he was the only major figure in Hollywood who dared to say that the Administration was lying on the WMD issue. His films deal with themes like gun control and thought control which are ignored. What the hell are you smoking? Better yet, tell me which of
Why would anyone take your advice, lame as it is, on policy, when you cant even read polls or the nations sentiment with any degree of accuracy?
Can you believe Ethiopia is listed as an Ally? Ethiopia was listed as an ally for the same reason France, Belgium, Greece, Albania, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Czechoslovakia, Poland, among others were. They were conquered by the Axis! Italy had already conquered them before the war started. Bu
I'll bet you AUS$1000 that if John Kerry is elected the US will not cease to exist as a independent nation. And to be extra generous I'll give you four years - that's one term, right? If the US is still a sovereign state in four years time under John Kerry, then I win. If the Islamoterrorists have overthrown the government and i
Sorry to disappoint you Dr. Guy but I am not a swing vote. Perhaps not in actual fact, but your 2 points split the spectrum, and that was what I was alluding to. I understand your position, and agree somewhat. however, the nub of your post is still valid. Security. With 4 children of my own, that i
How dare a small island country think they could ever uphold Democratic ideals to the same standards as a great nation like the USA? yo, DeadZombie, The French not withstanding (and I am a full fledged Frog), Australia is not an island, but a continent! you just blew the Aussie vote
Heh, that's funny 'cuz one of my best blogs (well, one that I got a lot of points for) was the one where I talked about failing a student for plagiarism, and someone asked me to go through JU and check it, too. I take it from that you are a teacher. I know this is OT, but given the resources of today
We're not sexually repressed So that means you cannot discuss it with your mate? In context that is what you are saying. Dont take a statement out of context unless you are prepared to defend the one in context.
The exception is groceries. With one exception (Gatorade powder), I have found groceries cheaper at the local retailers. And I will NOT take their ads in and have Walmart match them; price checkers are supposed to get paid. My rule is, when they pay me as a price checker, I will be a price checker. Until then, I will shop at the
many times I have been instpired by someone's blog to write. But then I step back and wonder if I am just blowing off steam, or really adding something new. So far, I have only posted one article that was not truly mine, but it was from an anonymous poster and I credited it as such. I wish I could have written it, but since they were anonymous, I knew they could not start one, so I copied their post and credited their Nom de Plume.
I can only speak for myself. And this may be counter to your own stereotype, but I feel it is the most intimate moment I can have, and it belongs to me, and my 'other' (in my case my wife). It does not belong to anyone else. I have never discussed it, and will never. I know some that do, or try to. But I walk away. I do not understand (altho I know they do it) a woman's need to confide in another. Why? Cant you confide with
My guess would be that they would be considered martyrs too. Gives them an easy way to console the families and keep their murderers stomach's settled. My opinion is that any no-go zone in Iraq should be leveled like a parking lot. I disagree. I think they are tolling their deathknell. They are d
I heard that statement on Mike Gallagher's show this morning. Carol Moseley-Braun, a BLACK civil rights activist actually made those comments about the voting in Florida in the upcoming Presidential campaign. Syd Dinerstein, Chairman of the Palm Beach County Republican Party responded by saying that, "this is a clear example of w
The following was posted by an anonymous user called CroMag. However, I think it cuts to the chase of tonight's debate and the outcome of the election as a whole. This poster did not state his political persuasion, but his issues seem to cut across many lines. I credit him because I do not want anyone thinking I am plagarizing, or creating this on my own.
