understood. it will be interesting to see if speed reduction will infact help the AI that much. I still think their dhows will be no match for my strike groups. And the only reason I have massive strike groups is because of a great economy. i applaud your efforts though. VR/

What I've seen in the metaverse data is that most of the "top players" really are just building obscenely fast ships that strike every alien world in a single turn and wipe it out before the AI can even react. The argument tha

While I never build the GGB there are those here that do and specifically rush it for its advantage. Why take out a good ship? Use it to explore or survey. If you don't want it then decommission it. No need taking out what most of the rest of us use.

i'm all for korx getting pumped up to become true mercs This would be nice. First off, surrender should be a dipolmatic move not an event cause you should be able to decline the surrender if your evil and want to exteri

I’ve read that it’s possible to stick another engine onto the initial colony ship (although I’ll be damned if I can figure out how to do it). So, during the colony rush, do you simply build an upgraded (additional engine) design of the initial colonizer, or do you set research to 100% and run up the engine branch as quickly as possible to create a faster colonizer? </

By not asking Providing useful information to other players w/ out flaming. Being a modder helps, but not required. Beta test. Alot. Time One thing that dosen't seem to hold a lot of sway is how well you play the game. Drengin (and all the other names he goes by) has been at this game for years. He runs a website that supports the game. Has done a bunch of modding in GC

The problem is, the food production is unchanged despite the fact that the initial colony produces less food than civ capital. Occurs occasionally. I have not seen it in 1.4 yet so maybe it been fixed. If you take over a minor though you get to keep the capital and have a second, or third, etc.. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=c

I start spying once I have found all 9 races on a gigantic and it is not a drain on my economy. i think it is worth it. It may keep you out of a war and will allow you to target your invasions if you are running short on transports or are looking to take a planet with a TG or Wonder on it. I click up the spy bar 1 notch and let it run its cource until advanced. once I have advanced I switch it back to zero. No idea how to steal more tech. No advantage that I have seen.

Any plan to estabilish a percentage of galaxy control per empire map as we had in GC I and appears when you first start a new game in GC II? MetaMap

It makes me think of the old Zork series where I push the big blue button and then wander from room to room looking for what's different. Turn off the water so you can get the platinum bar from the loud room.

Bah, I found how to get it. Seawater has clogged the noodle a bit. I registered it from the e-mailed SN and now it is d/ling. Going to take forever at 5KB/sec. Is the beta a stand alone? Will I still be able to play GCII and post games or will DA overwrite GCII. I archived just in case.
