I do wish I had more articles under my belt, but at least I can say I'm satisfied with the ones I have. I comment a lot, though. Sometimes my comments can be stand-alone articles. With only 6 articles, I can honestly say 1/6 of them were featured on JU's front page.

'Saw' is one movie that I can't even begin to fathom how a teacher can justify showing in school. I too am in 8th grade, and my teacher has shown us an R movie. However, it was related to the curriculum (the movie was "Glory" for the Civil War). Also, the teacher managed to censor the curses by fast forwarding through some scenes and other methods. It was by no means a secret between the teacher and students. My teacher has shown us a PG-13 movie not related to the curriculum,

He certainly could have done worse. 'Victim of circumstance' is a bit too general of a term, and really can apply to anyone. You can pretty much say that anyone was a victim of circumstance.

I don't think smokers are demons. My entire family (with the exception of youngsters) has smoked at one time or another. Personally, I just can't see myself lighting up a cigarette. If that's what you want to do, fine.
