I found both this game and President Forver unrealistic and no fun to play after more than 2-3 times. I am still waiting for Power Politics III but I suspect that it will be in beta until 2008 at this rate. What we need is an updated version of President Elect. Nothing has ever come close to it.

The poster is right. Prior to 2000 the GOP got blue and DEMS got red. I am still trying to figure out why the switch was made.

This game is not about realism. Its not an election sim, it is a cartoon that takes place on a map of the United States. This game is to the actual election as porn is to my sex life--not even close!!!

I give up in Political Machine PolMach Forums

I traded my copy of the game back to the store for $10 in store credit. I enjoyed the little I was able to play but the game is just too buggy. Obviously this game was not tested on a WIN98 machine. (Yeah, believe it or not some of us can’t afford to get a new computer every year or two!) I think the main problem is that the focus is on graphics rather than content. I would rather see a less graphic intensive game that had more to it.

I dunno, Frogboy, releasing a game that is this buggy seems pretty unreasonable to me. Why the hell wasn’t the game tested on WIN98, for example? You could have caught a lot of these bugs before releasing the game.

I think I have had the endorsement crash twice now both times in campaign mode. The first campaign against Rice goes fine. Then about halfway into the Arnold campaign the message comes up saying that he was endorsed by the Chamber of Business or something like that. I didn’t remember seeing that organization as a possible endorsement so I click on the endorsements button and it crashes. Believe me there was no listing for Chamber of Business cuz if
