omg, I just reallized, one of the docks still had the Trippy Tiles Dock Background by messiah1 I had totally forgotten I had tried that grouping out . one of the things to remember with the odplus program, for those who haven't tried it yet, you need to adjust the background and icons for each dock. Sorry Messiah1!!

(Better late than never?) I wanted to do a red theme this week, but was unsuccessful in finding a good number of red skins that worked well with my system. I managed to salvage my idea with just one skin , Thundera by Z71 . I wasn't really thrilled about using this skin beca
You woke up with no pee-pee in your pull-up? Good boy! You get a treat!"
am in that stage with grandbaby right now... and it amazes me how much we celebrate each time we can throw away a clean pull up. and don't forget having to wave byebye to mr swirlie...

"Hate me quietly " "I don't know how much you have to use it before it falls off, but if you keep messing with it, I imagine you'll find out"(don't ask what that was in reference of) " no the kitty doesn't need to use toilet paper! put it away." "if you didn't need to make a q-tip of your hand every time you go, we might still have some toilet paper left!" "jonjon doesn't wa
Our minds are so fresh , in remembering that day. I remember my mother talking when I was younger , about the day JFK was assasinated. She remembered details of that day , she wouldn't remember about any other. I feel that way about this day. The remembering brings us closer , and makes the senseless loss of that day sting less, knowing those who were taken from us still have meaning to us. It is right to remember.
Have you tried a lighter blind? I frequently have that problem with text boxes and occasionally with menu items when using a darker skin.
using Sympatico as our ISP from Canada so it's not a specific ISP.
Huh, well that blows that idea outta the water....
Where were you that morning? What were you doing? How did you find out what happened? I had just sent the kids to school, and was folding laundry watching the morning news show. They had just shown one of their live cams that looks at the towers, and were discussing the beautiful weather, I saw a plane getting closer and closer to the towers, and thought dang that thing's getting awful close.... then they panned to the news crew... . Seconds later they announced
kind of unrelated , but windowsFX used to have a field to check for hiding desktop icons. which I checked . well, now I can't uncheck it and can't convince my desktop to show icons anymore.... related,... have you allowed fx in your security programs? I know when I reinstalled I had to convince kaspersky that it wasn't evil. once I did that, all went well.
there are decaffenated colas. they don't taste nearly as good but they're out there.... I find visiting with the grandbabies gives me back some sanity... of course it takes away some too.. but it's worth it. always feel better after playin tea party or dig in the sandbox with a two year old.
The only down side I've found to being semi-computer literate, is the whole family assumes I am free technical support, and if the problem is above my head , they come down hard on me for not fixing their issues... like I knew all along what the problem was and just refused to fix it. It sometimes gets tedious. and I miss dos. it was confusing at times, but at least you knew if you got the line right, it'd do what you wanted it to.
hmmm.... I wonder how many of us are using verizon to connect that are having this issue...... possibly a verizon issue??
I got the same exception, I see this is an issue. I'll wait for a solution. is it possible it has something to do with security programs installed on the machine?s system.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.CallWindowProc(IntPtr wndProc, IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.DefWndProc(
can't edit, but apologise for the missing L in conclusion I didn't mean concussion [e digicons][/e]
re: the me too moderation... Sorry , didn't know what else to put, other than the different tools I used to come to the same concusion. I have submitted a trace route of my own via email. Hopefully it will help to figure out where in the world the problem is stemming from. and if not, it will show that I can access other sites that have similar graphic content and an irc server as well.
See?? I'm not the only one with the exact problem cavan1 is dealing with. Though, I tried several different browsers including msn9, ie8, and ff3. I originally used ie7 too but since I dl'd the 8beta, I've been using that one. oh, and for the irc issue, I've used sdc, impulse , and chatzilla.
xiandi, Actually, when I went to the site Andrew_ posted for finding out "is it just me?" , it said that everyone couldn't access irc.stardock.com so like I mentioned earlier, maybe there's a server down somehwere that people connecting in the mid-atlantic states need to access the irc server. I dunno, I just know I'm not the only one who can't access it.
Woohoo!!!! Thanks Neil! much appreciated, very very much!!! [e digicons]:wulf:[/e]
I knew someone would have a good answer,.. hmmm ie8 doesn't like the smilies... (good thing I had a link of my own to go to....)
The broken images are now unbroken, but they are not the correct images. Now they are a framed red dot. "aborted with error NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_HOST " is the response I still get when trying to connect to irc.stardock.com via chatzilla, impulse and sdc. It seems there is no longer an irc server?
for question #3, Are you currently running XP or Vista? if it's XP , and you want to see transparency , I think the problem might be in windowblinds config. if you have the setting in "transparency and blur" set to "vista-ize me" it should show transparency in your skins. I have it set to all skins on my computer, and only disable it when the skin really needs to be opaque, (like the "beer" blind). sorry if this doesn't help, I'm not actual
ok now using ie8beta, still have issues with library icons coming up broken images. still a problem at the source from what I can see.
Thanks ID Dunno why it's not working but I've looked at several threads and it seems there is a common problem. I didn't look to see if all those with the problem are east coasties or not, but it's always a possibility there's a break in the path between us and ya'll. [e digicons]:wulf:[/e]
huh. Still can't get into irc. have you guys changed the name of your servers or something? Zu said yesterday that he had no problem accessing but it seems myself, and others are having difficulty accessing.
