The thing is, I get *better* late game, I typically end the game when I'm level 20 and everybody else is 15...with Ashkandur and Mageslayer. I'm a beast as fire, and no amount of control can keep up with it. Every time I try throwing a hybrid build together it fails miserably. Keep in mind this is all just from my personal experience, and that's mainly been me and two friends against four hard AIs. I can take on two or three at a time and send them all running or kill t

Most posts I see, say that new players generally run around with Torchbearer in fire mode all the time, that mediocre players play in ice mode all the time, and that the great players play in both, swapping back and forth. In my experience, this hasn't been the case. I run around in fire mode all the time and typically double or triple my teammate's damage and get a ton more kills and assists - and these are my friends so I know they know what they are doing with their

I play Beast and the only thing that I have to run from when fighting Oak is if he puts up his shield. Unclean Beast is all about burst damage. He will spit on you and do one of two things. If he spits on you and runs away, do not follow him. You will die. He's recharging his mana and his spit. He will spit on you again but this time he'll come in for the kill - and if he's worth his salt he will get it. If he spits on you and roars, he's probably
This has stopped me participating in online matchups except with people I know in real life.
I'm in the same boat, I am not going to play with my real name showing up - for one my stats might get tied to that name, for two - I don't want people knowing my real name. I'm kind of jealous of all the people that are complaining about matchmaking - atleast they are getting into a few games.

Sorry I still see a hole in this I want to fill before I buy. Stardock isn't North America, since it's over the net, and they are the developer, not the publisher, so I'd think if anything they'd burn me a DVD and send it in a plastic jewel case. Now if I order from Stardock, with the CD option today, will I get the Collectors Edition as opposed to if I go to EB Games (where I am dealing in North America, directly with the publisher). <

I'm really sick at the moment, so I'm going to make this short...and go sleep. What do I get with the Collectors Edition that I don't with the regular edition? In game (new ship parts), and out of game (posters). Also, if I preorder the game online, say from Stardock directly...am I still going to get a DVD at some point? Thanks. *passes out*

Link Sorry the edit button keeps making a :0 face at me when I attempt to edit, I just wanted to point out how much the new Drath remind me of the interstellar Mafia. They pull strings in the background to fit their own agenda...and just look at that picture. He's a Don if I've ever seen one. I can even put the Italian accent and phrases on him and

I like the fluff you guys added to the races! In Galactic Civilizations 1, I thought of the Arceans as neutral (non-warlike), very passive. I thought of the Drath sort of like orks in Warhammer 40k, very warlike but dumber than the Drengin...and the Korx as passively benevolent. Boy was I wrong, three times. However, I like the added depth that has been added to the races.

I know I'm being picky, but Galactic Civilization 2's interface seems to have been smoothed out, so it's all curvey and antialiased and nice etc. However, I noticed that the minimap is still very blocky near influence edges. Is there a reason they kept it like that? It's a small presentation issue, but it'd be cool if they were smooth like they are in game as well.
