Good think, that you're not only complaining but actually go over and do something about it.

Thanks, I just updated. I will test the new version tomorrow.
Well, the headline says it. After a two week absence, I updated to 1.10[b3].015 and continued my first Metaverse game. I had about 10 crashes to the desktop in a few hours - all while clicking on items in the trade screen. Must be a new bug, in 1.0x I never had this problem.
Adding the Diff-Mode will definately make me buy the programm! One little suggestion: The systray Icon is red and because of that I always instinctively think it is deactivated and needs my attention. Changing the color to green or hiding it altogether would be appreciated
I run into that problem too regularily. My system specs: Geforce 6800go only one monitor (the notebooks internal one) I am using CursorXP. Will try hardware-cursor tonight.
I would love to buy the game online, but that is more expensive than buying it retail. I hoped that online distribution would lead to lower prices for consumers :-/
Are you tired yet of the always-the-same ugly graphics from powerpoint(could be openoffice.org or similar too of course) presentations? All the skinners here prove that things do not need to be ugly, unfortunately no one has yet choosen to "skin" a powerpoint presentation. Well it's not so much skinning a presentation than providing a powerpoint template with nice graphics for text boxes, arrows, bullets and the like. Here are some examples
Yes, please

Most Spyware infects the Computer through Internet Explorer. So it is a good idea to use an alternative browser to prevent the infection in the first place. I surf with Firefox and occasional checks with Adaware never find any spyware on my machine.
you can try to import them to DesktopX, then select them in the list of loaded objects, open the properties dialog and set the left and top properties so small values like 100, 100.
Some information, if the screensavers get virus checked before made available here would be nice.
Please move the Icons from the Object Dock section to the new Misc Icons section. They fit better in there.
But that's not the point. The good Thing about widgets is, that you can still load them into DesktopX, exactly like Object. It is just a different file format and the widget format has the bonus of beeing able to start without DesktopX. You don't have to give anything up if all would be in the widget format, it would just simplify the use of DesktopX.

Yes, it still loads the old themes.
There is one bug with setting labels to use a bold font. On a regular font, the text is diplayed correctly and breaks to a second line, but if you turn on bold fonts, the text is not completely visible any more, but gets dotted (...) instead of starting a new line to compensate for the bigger width. You can see that in the .jpg example in the article above. Other than that, IconX is great (and would be perfect, if you could apply the properties on
I have a suggestion for future DesktopX versions: Get rid of the distinction between Objects and Widgets. From a user point of view, they are the same and it is just annoying having to look at two different lists when searching for that nice object/wiget. Just convert all .dxpacks to widgets(.exe) and remove the possibility to save and load objects. That would make DesktopX much more userfriendly.
Trying to access https://www.wincustomize.com/ (without the 'www.') results in an error message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. A Firefox Section and more Suites would be nice.
This would be nice for not having to enter the zip code to each new weather object again. I always thougt, I've told DesktopX my zip code so many times, but it keeps asking for it.
Are all the desktop wallpapers rendered scenes? That is the only thing that prevented me from buying it, when I saw the screenshots. When I want a natural desktop, it is strange for me to look at artificially generated scenes. If there was a version with images like the ones from http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ , you would have a new customer
Hey, wasn't there another news item on top of that an hour ago? Something about WinXP SP2 having problems with Bootskin during upgrade? I could swear, that I saw this at work and that I even posted in it.
Maybe I am just too spoiled from my daily work with Visual Studio. A Object Inspector and a visible list of all methods of the current object would be great.
There is one important point, which is only said indirectly: The DesktopX Script Editor sucks. You guys really have to improve it (or write a plugin for Visual Studio/ to use that to write scripts).
