After years of enjoying many updated versions of WindowBlinds on my old Win98SE system, I finally upgraded to WinXP Home on a real zinger of a new system and celebrated by purchasing wb410 enhanced to go with it. However, when I installed wb410 (two months ago!), up popped this message... "Bad Image: The application or DLL C:\Windows\Sysytem32\OLE2.DLL is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your Installation diskette." [I have checked, by the way - the

Mike, you are in my thoughts and prayers. If anyone can dig deep it's you and I wish you a full and speedy recovery. A frightening event for you too, Christine, but I'm sure that with your love and support, your WOM will be back "on parade" in no time. With my sincere best wishes, Martin.
Medammes et Messeurs,je vous present le test peelot de la Concorde, Monsuir Brian Trubshaw, comme ca!
Albatross! Albatross! Got any choc-ices? No of course I haven't got any bloody choc-ices - I've just got this Albertross! Albatross! (Salty Petrel on a stick) What flavours have you got? It hasn't got any flavours, mate... it's bleedin' sea-bird flavour!!
"I don't like the Gannet - they wet their nests!" "Finland, Finland, Finland - the place I'd quite like to be..." "I like traffic lights..." "Muddy knees have got me all a quiver..." "...my name's not Clement!" Flower arranging with Mr EM Gumby. Arthur "Two-sheds" Jackson. Rule number One: "No poofters!" "Your wife... is she a goer? Know what I mean, wink, wink, nudge, nudge - say no more" [...the list goes on!] <im
Just for the record, I now have 220 different wb skins on file, some 2.53MB worth!
Sorry about the "lag" - it's taking me over 5 mins just to refresh this page! My ISP must have gone back to steam power!
Well, hi WOM! Nice to be back. Working long hours and making April wedding plans have taken my eye "off the ball" for a while. Hope all's well with you - & please give my best to the very talented starone.
Many thanks to you all for your feedback. At least I now feel less alone having all these wb downloads on file. But now we've uncovered a new phenomenon: "Download Red-face Syndrome"!! Several of you have shown "embarrassment" at the quantity of skins you've downloaded. Strange, isn't it? After all the entire point is to either upload or download good lookin' skins! It's not as if it's "naughty" or anything. ....er, is it???? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/sm
Mr Werewolf - you may be right with the "psychological" aspect! In fact, many would say this word describes me perfectly: sometimes "psycho", sometimes "logical"! BTW, greetings from "Down-Under" (Sydney, Australia) to all our U.S. friends and allies. Let's hope that our two countries get through the next few months safely. (A non-political wish)
Thanks for your input Mr Werewolf. Did you "prune" just as a regular part of routine "good housekeeping", or do you feel that the wb folder can, in fact, become over-full and start to affect performance?
...I mean very roughly how many wb skins do you have - 50; 100; 200; 1000?
I think we'd all agree, there's a lot of very talented skinners out there. It seems that every time I visit the new wb skins page, I see (and download) that special "skin to end all skins". Hence, over the years, I've accumulated literally hundreds of "best ever skins" on my hard drive, most of which I'm reluctant to "bin"! Is there perhaps a theoretical maximum number one can store in the WindowBlinds folder? (ie without affecting performance) And, just for interest, how many
It certainly was! Lucky we had a little cloud cover or we Sydney-siders would have melted!
LoidiBoid is a nic given to our family long before the age of computers! It's a "play" on our surmame "Loyd" which, if pronounced in a New York ("Nu Yoik") vernacular plus "iBoid" = the word Lady Bird. Hence the "LoidiBoids". Unfortunately, Americans don't really get it as a Lady Bird is a "Lady Bug" in the US. It's a British thing... Well, you asked - sheesh!

Very best wishes for the interview, Greyhaze. It seems like you're not alone when it comes to searching for that "nich" in life. With all the combined talent we have in the Community, wouldn't it be nice if we could be paid for our skills! (Ooops, have I opened Pandora's Box now?!)
Skinner Pixstudio: Is "Universe Metal" available as a solo WindowBlind? (I did a search but couldn't find it) Either way, very nice job indeed!
To married (or nearly married) men....ain't nothing new here.....we still don't get it To women (married or not it doesn't matter)......it's all been said before...... To unmarried men.....you're gonna get it....... 1. "Fine" This is the word women use at the end of any argument when they feel they are right but can't stand to hear you argue any longer. It means that you should shut up. (NEVER use "fine" to describe how she looks. This will cause you to have one of thos
I blame the apple then. Be warned about the dangers of fresh fruit! But some of the worst tyrants have been women!
Just who is to blame for all the strife in the world today? Was, and is, it Adam, the one who is most easily tempted... or perhaps Eve, who is the great con-artist?
Very good point Jafo! I too still "wow" a lot during 2001: A Space Odyssey and have done so each & every time I've seen it... although back in the sixties (in Cinerama Super 70mm) it was more like, "Hey, wooow... far out, man"! Although on an entirely different level, Star Wars is, however, still great fun (and great business for the local Aussie film industry). But kids really should see "2001" on
I too have been enjoying WB for around three years on a Pentium 233, 128Meg RAM with Windows 98SE. I now have WB 3.3. According to my "Resourses" I usually lose around six percent after launching WindowBlinds, but this doesn't seem to affect my day all that much!
Oh, definitely Summer! Here in Australia we celebrate Christmas in shorts and suntan lotion. Then sit down to a full Christmas roast turkey dinner, decorate fake snow-covered Xmas trees, turn up the airconditioner to the max and try to ignore the surrounding bush-fires! Ah, bliss!!
