Don't bother trying to change your friend Kelli, as it really sounds like she's a touch off-balance. Did she grow up without a father in her life or something? The reason for her bandwagon behavior probably lies in her distant past.

That's the most obvious example and it could easily be true since to be a peacemaker there needs to be serious warfare going on everywhere. What I mean is that the world's current political climate is ripe for someone who needs a war to bring peace to. Kind of like how cancer researchers need cancers to keep doing their research.
Leave it to someone short of smarts to actually try argue the illegal invasion of Iraq was legal under international laws. And you know it too. Or at least you should. International law isn't something you can change to suit yourself more comfortably. When you do that, it's called an illegal action. So delude yourself over what's lawful and what is not all you want. It doesn't change facts at all. Not at all. Sorry, but your having said it's legal does
When it comes down to it, pretty much anyone anywhere can go where ever they want to with whoever they want to go there with. You say there just isn't any time for you to spend time with your husband. Well, I would say you just aren't making any time for you to spend time with your husband. Of course it goes both ways, I'm not singling you out. How is it possible that he has time for some gigs but no time for you? How is it you have time for a workout
Castration would seem the ideal solution if you think short immediate terms. If you think castration is the ideal solution one has to assume you are using castration as a replacement for rehabilitation ie. letting the castrated man go about his daily life, outside prison walls, and all is well. I think the long term has too much potential for rage, particularly the supressed one. You can't possibly mean castration but still behind bars. I for one don't
bad bad intelligence. So after tens and tens and tens of thousands of death, most of them innocent civilians, you make a mockery of the ultimate reasons your country went to illegal war. And you're one of the military men too! That's what mind-boggling. A grown man acting like a silly schoolyard kid, laughing about things that are seen as tragic to most humans. Well laugh on I guess. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article5365.htm

I disagree. I think it's more like something worthwhile is hard.
One would think it difficult to teach to others something that is a personal thing. And what's meditation exactly? When I hear that word I imagine sitting cross-leged, hands open in front of you, and with eyes closed, humming. What do you think about? Is it like imagining nothing, like a blank piece of paper? To me, meditation with eyes closed etc... is impossible. If I was meditating, trying to keep a blank mind would be work in itself, kind of. Know
"Those who think that the right of American politics is all about Jesus should think again" In all seriousness, are all the right wing politicians moving in Jesus' circle? When I think of right wing, I don't really think of Jesus or religion at all. Lots of politicians like to say they're religious and they join good causes or whatever, but do they really deal with these people when they're outside of their political suits?
I mentioned in another thread about the prophesy figure who, hundreds and hundreds of years ago, made a chronological list of the future popes to come. Like I said, some were considered too vague to pin down, but others were so dead on it's freaky. Well, for Pope John Paul II, he had "from the toil of the sun". I mentioned before what I thought that meant, and I said
"Bush is a warmonger" Why is this part of your argument? I'm pretty sure it was Bush himself who, when asked a question in reference to the supposed war on terror, called himself a war president. "I'm a war president" is his exact words. How does Bush himself saying it put the liberals in a bad light? I think a problem in America is the bulls**t having to do with bias and labelling. Sorry armchair warhawks, but saying negative things about the
"From the toil of the sun" is a description of pope john paul II. There was a so-called prophet I think back in the 1000's or so, and he made a long list of all the future popes, in order. Apparently some are vague, but some are so dead on it freaky. An example, one of his descriptions might have been "over the hills at dawn" and the pope he was refering to had a family emblem/coat-of-arms consisting of a couple hills with a sunrise appearing behind them. Things like that. And his for the curren
Whether said in jest or not, making fun of what you call "Allah" is the same as people making fun of Jesus. While there are a billion different rude things people can do and say, so why include God into the mix. Tolerance for other religions would make the world better.
I was insulted and mocked and ridiculed by the hawks. The US is in Iraq to bring them liberation and freedom from those who torture and murder I was rudely told. This is an isolated incident I was told. A rotten apple is not a voice for the entire corps I was told. And there was me swallowing insults to bring this reality to the ordinary ignorant citizens. My comment
Keep in mind the Pope is supposed to be the reincarnation of Saint Peter. It's definitely considered newsworthy. I saw him in Winnipeg back in 85 or so. Almost front row too. Pretty neat for a kid in the 7th grade. In class we had to make a scrapbook about his Canadian tour. I was the only one in my class who really saw him, so my scrapbook had tons of newspaper clippings, souvenir flags, and a tape I had made of his talk. I had the best scrapbook. *pa
Winnipeg latour? We went there once a year every summer. Until my Grandmother died. She used to live on Erin Street near Sargent Ave. It's cool cause she lived 2 blocks over from the street depicted in the Canadian history ?vignette?, Valour Road. I'm right next door to the west. About a 6 hour drive. A long long flat boring drive. The prairies. Where you can watch your dog run away for 3 days. I actually went to school with one of the writers.
lol Ralph. Anyone remember the "I bent my wookie" or the "my cat's breath smells like cat food". Same episode I think, the one where Lisa's jealous of that smarter girl, the tell-tale heart model. And Bart: "she's trying to make a monkeeee outta youuuuu"
congrats!
There's no excuse for being labelled a man-woman if you live in a country with a high ratio between inhabitants and shavers.
Me it's when Homer's looking at the picture on the stairway wall, and Bart's shown holding a paper cloud/bubble/comic-style-text making Homer say "I'm stupid", and then Homer says "Hey, I don't remember saying that!". Man that's the best. Any others? How about the 'I'll donate 1 million to charity....when pigs fly." Then Homer's BBQ pig flies by, and Smithers says "sh
Well a hearty congratulations to you and may you have a long future together. People say marriage can turn someone into a cynic. Trust me. It's not true. I've been married for over 8 years and look how I turned out. Hahahaha. Seriously, congrats and good luck. How long have you been together? How long was the engagement? Have either of you been married before? Either of you have any kids with anyone else? Do you have a will all planned out? Have you t
A mediator needs to be unbiased and on neither side alone. Australia is America's boy. How could Australia be a conduit for mediation when they're so obviously in the US's camp? The strange thing is how unnoticed the coming confrontation is in the public consciousness. The US simply can't let the current situation continue.
I am SOOOOOO glad we don't have cable and refuse to ever get it. Kids don't need to see this crap. Or do they?
dharmagrl I would like to ask you to say what's on your mind, your opinions. No need to edit or censor yourself over anything. That's a big problem in our society. The inability to communicate.
