Novel, and I'll kick its tires. Can you skin it? If no then why? Is SD shifting the business model to utilities and games? Other than the jump list feature and the clock it isn't going to be a real time saver if you have your tiles in nice logical groupings.

I had installed / upgraded to 8.1 the day it was released on technet and had several apps exhibit this behavior. Re-install of the app fixed it.

a trivial word of caution for those that are anal regarding their start screen tiles. The color of the tiles in 8.1 is now based on the primary colors of the icon itself. You will have a mess of different colored tiles now and there isn't a dang thing you can do about it (unless you want to spend countless hours with OblyTile). Decor8 will NOT be able to fix this either.

Clearing ones browser history on a frequent, regular basis is NOT extreme in the least. It is common sense and anyone with reasonable skill sets and knowledge of data systems realizes the importance of it.

If it happened in IE you have bigger issues going on than browser preference. I wouldn't pursue it from that standpoint. First guess... video card or memory. Reseat both and try again. Update drivers (if you haven't already). Rollback video drivers if you recently updated them.

I don't rely on the browser to Auto-Fill forms. Never have. I use Roboform for that and have done so for at least 10 years. :)

Kona.. really.. there are way too many bullshit answers/suggestions here and you are going to spend 3 times as much time exploring some of them. The issues started when you ran windows updates and installed them. Your culprit lies there. Did you perform the updates AFTER you installed FF, Thunderbird and iTunes or before? If you installed them after the other software and things slowed down then start there.
