Nice article, but seriously... you need to drop the "true KVM" term. It is NOT "true KVM" as it can only be used via a windows client and not at bios level like a TRUE KVM provides. I would also like to see a mac client and/or Linux client added to the features. In my work environment it would be quite helpful. Great software though!!

I'm going to guess that by the term " windowblinds icon's wallpaper" you are referring to the wallpaper shown in the screenshot of any given windowblinds theme being presented. Those wallpapers are not part of the theme package and are used by the author to compliment their windowblinds. The WB author may or may not be the author of the wallpaper being used. If you want to know the details of that example wallpaper you could PM the Window

Here's another kicker.. Back when XP was still being installed on Dell systems, you could NOT activate the key that was on the sticker unless you used the Dell OS installation CD/DVD. Not sure if they carried that on with Vista or not. I know for a fact that now, the key is burned in to the motherboard and will not require activation in the traditional sense. Once again, I sincerely doubt that this is the case with these systems. The above comments are fact t

Perhaps... some people that have W8 don't WANT to use Start8 just to make a good Windowblind. Many people actually like the new interface and would rather have something that customizes IT, rather than the old school. For those that are still on 7, well... skinning took a big hit when XP dropped as the major OS as you just couldn't skin all the parts like you could XP. The fun aspect of it dropped a lot too as it got more complex. Logons - Junk since XP went away. All

So do I see that right in the video ? There is no need for an extra Monitor on the secondary anymore ? Means REAL KVM via Multiplicity ? [e digicons]:O[/e] [e digicons]:)[/e] Technically interested: How is that done ? Via some sort of remote or is the monitor really connected via network somehow ? A tad misleading C242.. TRUE kvm would give you bios level access, and functi

My Retina is like this, but it came with Mavericks. I know that it works like this as well... Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*) Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because &

What an exciting and refreshing thread!! DWM- How very fine it is to see you are still out there. We had some brief and fun discussions back in the day. You really helped me along with some key elements. Nice to know the ugly stick didn't kill ya. Another one of the golden era that comes to mind is Apocalypse57.

Jim, All my thoughts and prayers indeed. As an added bonus, I extend this little tidbit for you. An hour before you go in for the procedure, take a couple of Viagra so they will have something to talk about as they go in through your groin. To make it extra special, invite Bessie to (ehem..) bear witness to the festivities!!
You lost me there. In what way does WindowBlinds force backwards tech on anyone?
To have windowblinds do anything with a start menu, one must use Start8, which is Windows 7 start menu. Backwards tech which does absolutely nothing to familiarize the end user with the new OS. Of which, many of the features will carry on to the next versions of windows. No sense having another BS Hate 8 debate in another thread, i
