Oh, yes! I remember this one!! We did it on paper and not with the origami thingy - which by the way, I still know how to make. I'm going to marry my husband Chris (whew!), drive a purple PT Cruiser, have 6 kids...sheez, where will they all sit, live in a mansion in Germany where I'll be a counselor. Better start those German lessons. Thanks for the blast from the past. </

As the mother of 14 and 11 yr old daughters, I find it increasingly more difficult to buy them clothes that don't look like they belong on college girls....or have slogans on them that are unacceptable to us....the whole thing is just getting ridiculous!! My daughter is only 4 and so many of the clothes

"Working things out." "It will all work out." "Let's work this out." Obviously the common denominator of these phrases is work . And work is, by it's nature, difficult. Yet when we say these phrases we tend to miss the point. We are focused on the product and not the process of the work. Marriage has to be one of the most diffi

Living in a large city nearly 1000 miles away from my genetic family members, I too realized the "friends as family" scenario. However, I do have umpteen cousins, aunts and uncles that do get together on a regular basis "back home." So, I felt the need to seek out new "family members" - those friends who "crossed the line" as you said. It was hard work for an introvert like myself, but worth every bit of it!

And then there's the whole full moon thing. As a high school teacher I could always tell by the even wackier behavior of the students that there was a full moon.

I'm glad paragraphs have started, I really struggled with the first one! Sorry about that. I was mostly just needing to vent. I went back and put paragraphs in - it was very hard to read...and I wrote it! <TABLE cellpadding=8 w

When writing here for the first time, I wrote about issues I was dealing with with my hubby. Here's a little bit about him and our history... 1) I love him dearly 2) He's a great daddy to the kids 3) His parents are German (He was born in the US and then his family moved back to Germany when he was 13 and lived there for 15 years) 4) When

So after sleeping on the couch last night - I can't sleep in the bed with him when he's giving me the cold shoulder - I sent him an email at work. And I asked him to please reply. And he did. So I'm reading his message with tears running down my face not b/c of what he's saying, but simply that he's saying something. (We met on-line, perhaps we should st

For me, Coke was just about the only thing (besides thowing up) that made me feel any better. And bummer, I had been soda free and caffiene free for nearly 6 months when I got pregnant. Coke did the trick though!
