As I get ready to vote today in the Canadian federal election, I have come to the following conclusions: Gay marriage isn't going to ruin civilization, divorce lawyers have already done that. The last poll I saw was 53% in in favour of gay marriage, 47% against. So it's a divisive issue, and enough people are against it that we should respect their wishes too. It states at moderate levels left and right are quite far apart, but as you move toward the extremes on both sides, they move closer to each other.
