AWACS units

In GC2 will i be able to build AWACS units?
For example in GC1 there was the satellite drone with a good sensor range but it always became obsolete.
So i'm wondering if u can build a unit with a great sensor range not obsolete in latest part of the game like AWACS which will help you uncover fog of war.
for example a very good unit could uncover 2-4 sectors

Well, you can build a ship with only sensors in it. Very useful. And with researching miniaturizatoin tech and other sensor techs, you will be able to create ship with a longer sensor range.

ships are totally customizable. Put on all the sensors you can or go for a little defense too... either way its up to you.

The ultimate sensor boat:

Step one: Research Huge hulls and all of the Miniturization Techs.

Step two: Open the shipyard menu and click New.

Step three: Select Huge hull and pile on all the sensor IV's you can get

Step four: Build it

Step five: Launch it

Step six: Sit back, Relax and enjoy the show.

You will also want to research the sensor techs as well! Once you complete the super project "Eyes of the Universe", you get a large sensor boost to all your planets, star bases, and ships.

Yes correctly but...all this need a lot of time and ressurces when you want early permanently overview include shipmoving so send scouts at vullnerble points...later when you habe commandpoints , mony and technical knowhow as well you can build "super senor ships" or the galactic wonder "eye of the universe"

I read on here somewhere that someone researched the speed and sensor tech trees as much as possible and then made a ship with lightning speed and sensors up the wazoo. That way you can fly through an area and sensor the heck out of the area and vanish before the big boys come a shootin

yea thats not hard to do at all. espcially on anything below a large map. esentially u could have this sensor ship move in, plot attack locations for ships waiting nearby, then have the scout drone move out. this would only have a real purpose if u had fast ships and you wanted to attack other ships.
