stardock answer here what retailers have the preordered version

from GalCiv2 Forums
Up to now is not clear if preordering gc2 from most famous retailers will get additional stuff.
Could stardock definitely answer here if preordering gc2 from amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, bestbuy, walmart, play.com, ebgames and other important retailers will get this additional stuff?

I've done this before, but here goes once more.

The Collector's Edition box is U.S. only for retail - it will probably not be in Canada.  Paradox Interactive is our publisher in Europe and is doing their own box, etc. I have no idea what they plan to include at this point. If you pre-order from WalMart (US), EB Games, GameStop, Amazon.com (NA) or Stardock you will get a CE box for certain.

I still think somebody should gather all pre-order / distribution / etc info and post it in a sticky.
I have all the information I need now, but I had to gather it bit by bit.
This nuisance could be prevented for future forumers.

I just spoke to Gamestop about my pre-order. They basicly said that they have no information on a CE version of the game.

Then they are incorrect. According to our distributor, Gamestop has been setup for the CE version of the game for pre-orders.

Play.com is European (I think they reside on one of the UK islands) so I guess they have the Paradox version thus I wouldn't count on the CE version if I were you.

Paradox sells a DVD steelbook version with a tech tree, a second poster and other minor stuff included.

I just pre-ordered my copy from Gamestop in store, should I call them back to get my retail number or whatever, so I can DL the beta?

Hello
I have'nt been around for a while so I'm a little lost.
I've had the beta through my totalgaming account. I was perfectly happy with downloading the game. But now I wonder: does it mean the downloadable version will be inferior to the "collector's edition" ? Event though I'll have it electronocally, should I then preorder a boxed version from stardock (as frogboy -I think it was him- said it as possible, just paying the handling and postage)?

Amazon is listing the SKU for the regular edition. Is that correct, or are the getting the collectors edition?
