I live in the general vicinity where that took place. There were two men in a corvette doing over 100mph in a residential neighborhood. After a short chase resulting in the corvette crashing into a wall, both men were laying on the ground supposedly following orders given my the officer that pursued them. Where the confusion begins is supposedly one told the officer he was in the services and asked for permission to get up, the police officer told him ok... when the perp did, he was shot up 3 times, not killing him.
A bystander watching ran into his home for his video camera, came back outside and missed what actually happed up to just before the point when shots were fired. The video is hard to make out and the sound isn't helpful. I find it interesting that the FBI has been brought in under the guise of possible civil rights violations in hopes their lab could evaluate the video and conduct the investigation verses the local police conducting their own investigation. There's something rotten in the wood pile on this one, and I don't mean just a trigger happy cop.
