Can not click and Maximize items in open tasks bar

I can not click and expand on the mozilla icon that is on the right of the dock representing a minimized webpage. I thought all you would need to do is click once on it, but it appears that you have to right click and then chhose expand. I would think there should be a way to just set it to click once and expand? Is there a way, please help.
