How do I do this?

I have an existing PNG file I would like to make more transparent (I want to use it as a places menu glyph). I'm using Paintshop Pro 9.0. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Open with PSP.
look at layer palette.
You can adjust the transparency there for the whole image and then save back to PNG.
Hope that helps.

Double Click on the layer in the layer pallette on the right (vector 1, raster 2 etc) of the layer you want to change. A dialog box will open. Change the opacity from 100 to something less to see how transparent you want it. If you are wanting to do the whole image, right click on the layer, choose "merge visible", then double click and change the opacity.

Same as Iben said, just different.
