Help in Corel Draw12 plzzz

hey all, I have just purchased Corel graphics suite 12

Everytime I try to either import or export an image, I'm getting A.R.M. warning, I have turned off enable CARM under tools/global, so that's now gone but this is what I"m seeing for export/import image

">

Can anyone help me with this?

That image definitely looks like an unstable interface to me.

Try setting Windows back to the default settings, and use the Import command again to see if the interface is still unstable (corrupt) or if it is repaired.

If it is repaired, then I would suspect one of the following:

1 - an incompatible WB skin

2 - you are running another customization program that is heavy on your resources, and the instability is being caused by lack of resources available to CorelDRAW.

3 - You have found a bug in WindowBlinds and/or it's compatibility with CorelDRAW.

BTW - I have had a couple of issues that invoke C.A.R.M. while working on a project in CorelDRAW 12, which seemed to occur when using multiple commands that required redrawing frequently.

There is a problem with nVidia...that aside, there is a service pack (1) for the 12 suite that supposedly fixed the C.A.R.M. issue. Do both of you have it? http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel3%2FDownloads%2FSupportDownloads&pname=CorelDRAW+Graphics+Suite+12

Yes, I have the service pack installed (right after installing CD12 program and reboot).

The issue happened on my laptop, and I am assuming it was me applying too many commands in too short a time.

Running fine under "Luna" now.........yeah, I like luna - call me crazy.

I have also tested it with WB 4.6 (now installed due to liking some older skins that are not doing so well with WB 5), and running "5imple" for WB 4.

Haven't had a chance to push it under 4.6 yet though..........

I guess....you answer my questions before I ask....

Note - it invoked the C.R.A.M. twice, both time running WB5 and StealthOS.

Now if they had made Luna customizable like 2000, but with more colors than 2 allowed, and customizable toolbar buttons.........

No wonder I bought Object Desktop.

Oh yeah....now I remember. I believe we had occasion to speak of this piece of...ah...hardware before.

If these errors are coming up because of a log jam of commands on "high end" cards...you don't have a prayer. Take heart though...it might not even be related to graphic software/hardware at all.

There as been an ongoing problem with these type errors, and it would appear they're still going on. That's not much of an answer, but know that you're not alone.

Thanks, yrag. At least now I know it's just not me. Hopefully, Corel will fix this problem

I'll give it a shot

I forgot again.........no AGP, no SmartGart in control panel. No write options in BIOS either.

I wonder if the new CorelDRAW X3 fixed the issues? Perhaps an update would be in order....
