Weather widget locked

I assume I am being thick but there seem to be a lot of DesktopX themes that include the weather. The problem is that most of them appear to be locked to a place called Valley in the UK with temp in °F. If I click on the location it says where would I like it to use so I tried "Basel, Switzerland", "Basel SZ" and "SZXX0004" and after about 30 seconds with an hour glass it stays at "Valley". The same goes for the temperature. If I mouse over the °F it says click to change, so I click it and I get the hour glass for a few seconds and then it stays in °F. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug or am  just being stupid? Thanks

if you have an antivirs program with script blocking, try turning off the script blocking or allowing scripts from the widget to be run
