Problem with Object Doc

none

Hi -
I'm having a very strange problem with Object Dock. First: it's a great program and I really like it; in fact, I'm pretty dependent on it. Now: something happened to system whereby when Object Dock is running I have absolutely no access to the Windows Task Bar / Start Button. AND, when OD is running it is invisible too - all the icons that were there are nowhere... Very odd; I have my Task Bar set to auto-hide (as suggested) but it is NOT hidden it is absolutely gone until I stop OD. I suspect that there's some corruption somehow in the registry (or however OD keeps track of itself) because I had to power the machine off while windows was still running (due to non-related issues with windows shutdown - seem to be Norton Firewall related). Since powering off and restarting OD is messed up and messing up Windows Task Bar. Any suggestions.

If you have saved your theme, you can safely do the following:

Open My Computer > Tools menu > Folder Options > View tab > select "Show hidden files and folders" > click Apply.

Unload ObjectDock (if running) using Task Manager > Processes to stop "ObjectDock.exe".

Go to: "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder > delete the ObjectDock (or ObjectDock Plus) folder found inside. This is referred to as "Clearing the cache".

Restart ObjectDock, which will load with the default settings.

Reapply your saved theme (or rebuild the theme if you did not save it, and clear the cache).

Hopefully that will set things straight.
