WindowsBlinds trouble

Runtime error

Hi!

I just purchased WB a few days ago, and I am sad to say that it is not working for me. I get an error message when the program starts, after which it terminates. Please help.

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runrime Library

Runtime Error!

Program:---wbconfig.exe

abnormal program termination"

I am an WinXP/SP2 user.

At what point does wbconfig crash?

Do you get to see the skins listed?

No, it crashes immediately. No skins are shown.

Then how did you get the system information?

I would install SDC and download the latest beta (set show prereleases in SDC) and see if that helps.

Oh, sorry.

It doesn't crash immediately, but that error message is shown when I start the program. If I click OK to remove the message, the program terminates. But I still can go in to some of the functions of the WB window, for instance the system report, before I click OK. Another thing, it seems that windows won't let me change themes or look of it in the Screen Properties section of the Control Panel. Here I get a weird error message and this window terminates itself too!!

By the way, what is SDC?

SDC is Stardock Central.

https://www.stardock.com/sdnet_login.asp

If you download that, enter your stardock.net details & your WB registration and enable the show prereleases option, you should be able to download the later beta builds.

I suspect your problem is a database issue, in which case the new betas should fix that.
